@jchensor The whole problem is that this stupid mechanic is happening 24/7. So take everything you said and imagine all the small situations you can potentially lose in a match due to this. Every single situation in this game can lead into a looping offense scenario easily.

I will repeat this once again: outside of Jump inputs, Drive Rush is *not* directly eating any inputs. You can test it in Training Mode. Set the dummy to Drive Rush and you’ll never get anything eaten except a Jump. Which IS a problem and should be fixed. However… (1/n)

I really think @elonmusk should make a gaming company, while it may not be super profitable out the gate, it would definitely shake up an industry that fell asleep on the greatness it once had of making games entertaining as much as a blockbuster movie with the added emotional immersive that captivates an audience for life. It’s so not hard with good stories and gameplay.

It's true all of the stuff mentioned here has always existed. The only problem is that there's a difference between a 50/50 and a forced 50/50. The issue is not the mix up itself. The issue is how you're getting there and what the games are allowing players to do to enforce the mix up. Older games would give you a plethora of options and ways to open up an opponent whilst allowing the defender the ability to come up with a gameplan and react accordingly. In newer games like Tekken 8, you're forced to stand still and in most cases TAKE the mix up or eat insane amounts of chip damage. A scenario that was not truly earned by the aggressor. I don't think the anger towards fighting games has come out of the blue. The games have been intentionally designed to make newer players feel stronger and limit defensive play which is where stronger players have historically dominated.
Kensou 🥷Writing The Scrolls📜@ShinKensou

Ok it's rant time...I'm going to keep it a buck... This fighting game casino bullshit has got to stop. Let's stop acting like 50/50 situations didn't exist in older games. I don't care how much you claim "its easier now to do said thing", it existed before and its STILL here now REGARDLESS. Mixups such as shimmy, meaties, projectile oki, air dash mixups, command jump mixups, empty jump lows, hell for the sake of, neutral skips of all kinds as well (I don't care how easy or not it was it was there btw). All of these are ALL STILL PRESENT in today's fighting games! It's almost as if people's rose tints on the older games are way too shiny. EVERYONE has access to these things and the reality is the average player is way stronger than they were a decade ago thanks to content creators and social media. We have to embrace the fact that we're getting greater comp due to this. Constant complaining "oh its too easy and you can get randomed out!" Because someone new rocked your shit? Get better you have that as an option. Or "oh the game's design is so bad" in comparison to what? The way they made games back then with next to no updates? Having to "fight the good fight back in my day with my weak character?" When Chipp sucked I had next to no choice and switched characters until the NEXT VERSION OF THE GUILTY GEAR! There was no patch, gotta swap to stay competitive and I even then STILL played him through the tough times. Bless my soul lol. At the very least today as I said, a player can wait for a patch to put them back in the game with their favorite character or tone down things they don't like about the game. That's held true across the board for literally EVERY OTHER COMPETITIVE ESPORTS GAMES SINCE COUNTER STRIKE! Patch work exists now... This is common place now and is the status quo of our current generation. We CAN get things patched and adjusted. HOWEVER I cannot condone patching to suit the needs of a single demographic and that being the 0.1% of competitive players. Even though there is some merit of shaping the game's meta in this regard, guess what? PRO PLAYERS CAN BE WRONG! Remember Luke wasn't that good in beta right? Top tier. Juri not that good? Wins Capcom Cup 2023. Ed wasn't that good either? Top 1 now. Akuma is unstable? Best in game depending on who you talk to. But WHY are they good? Do they do the casino bit better? No, the reality is the player base got better and pushed what those characters can do. Like its getting out of hand with this constant talk about guessing as if strike/throw is the most broken and insane mixup in existence. KoF13, shimmy into HD might be a dead character, or even a frame trap into HD could be the same if you have the resources available. SF4 if Yun had 3 bars you best believe that asshole is going to Red Focus and stun the shit out of your character, you can forget Genei-Jin like c'mon lol. It's actually getting pretty toxic these days across social media. I will tell you now that its totally ok to give your feedback on said games. But at LEAST try to be constructive instead of singing this casino nonsense...and for the love of all that's good in this world...THINK FOR YOURSELF AND COME UP WITH YOUR OWN CONCLUSIONS! You can see and think for yourself too ya know! /end rant

@Rio_FGC It’s not that they would pick up MK but they just can’t cut it so they don’t, it’s that they are already playing a game that is full of life and very enjoyable, why would they come to a game when even that games most hard-core community doesn’t even like it for the most part

@PointFGC @Rio_FGC I gave you examples too. SF players always do well in early NRS and get retired eventually, just like NRS players in SF/Tekken. The difference is you can make a career from SF/Tekken with real sponsors and money. GTFO

@ItsTimeThis @Rio_FGC He’s pointing out the very common sight in seeing players from other communities talking shit about NRS players saying they cant play anything but MK when that isn’t true. You then say they havent acxomplished anything, i give you examples you then brush off. Gtfo.

@PointFGC @Rio_FGC I'm weird? Your boy above is the one calling out other scenes. The reality is NRS games have no incentive to compete at a high level. Declining payouts, demonetization and banned in several countries, and your own community shits on the game hard (see MK1 discourse).

@PointFGC @Rio_FGC All of them got retired. That's like me bragging about Chris G in MK9/MKX/Injustice and Jwong dominating in early MKX. I myself got top 8 in a 300+ MKX tournament and I'm from Tekken. NRS players don't keep up with the top 2 FGC games, ever.

@Rio_FGC Why would they? NRS games have no money and the competition pool is far lower than SF and Tekken. Both of those games have huge international presence. Your game is banned in several countries and demonetized because NRS can't put a simple gore toggle lmao

@GreetingzMortal @Snake_Eyez_ @aairwandy He used LG C2 as the test display which is a 4K 120hz TV. Since you love objective science, you can reduce input lag even further using 240hz, 360hz, or even higher refresh rates on PC. Now come back and tell me it doesn't matter since SF6 is capped to 60 FPS. I'll wait. 🤣

@Snake_Eyez_ @aairwandy It’s not though. Noodalls has the objective science. For sf6 pc and ps5 is basically at parity. What you’re feeling would be bad monitors or maybe trauma from sfv.

TOs are walking a thin line. Majors were necessary when the games had shit netcode and you had to get good offline practice. Now, the online experience at home on PC is superior to offline PS5. Stay home and make money on Twitch/YouTube instead of wasting money.

@TheAlexValle Skilled players will run a cost benefit analysis and prefer not to skip rent to gamble at a tournament. Stay at home and content create instead. 🙂

TLDR from PC vs Console large scale tournaments: 1. Skilled TO's can definitely run it 2. Skilled TO's will run a cost benefit analysis and prefer not to take another mortgage out so you can play from 120hz to 144hz

@Bigbird_fgc Players are dead last in priority. That's why the excuse to switch to competent PC setups is always cost for TOs. What about costs for the player? We can just skip your tournament to save our own money too. That shit is 700-1k unsponsored costs. 🤣

The obsession with being able to use “a millionaire” as a marketing tool is going too far to the point where it’s fucking over every other player Between this, 10 min ads every 3 games, and random draw, it’s clear that the players are dead last on the priority list 💀

Don't worry, it's not limited to SF6 either. Kkokkoma been having a mental breakdown wondering why Tekken at Dreamhack felt so slow. He can't even recreate it on his own PS5! 😂 x.com/kkokkoma_mujoy…

I sat down to play casuals with Du, when I went to plug my USB… I found out that the blue part in Ps5 ports melted onto my arcade stick’s USB and I couldn’t plug it in anymore Had to remove it manually, you need something thin to be able to remove it

@Bigbird_fgc Yup, Ending Walker was a salt bucket all weekend over PS5 lag. It's insanity that such high stakes are being played on a console with higher lag, on top of inconsistency between setups. One of the PS5s at Dreamhack had a burnt USB port and still used for tourney. 🤣

PS5 has more input delay than PC, imo it’s not bad as long as you warm up and get used to the timing However, you gotta feel for some players like Snake Eyes, Ending Walker and many others who are dealing with EXTRA input delay due to using converters
