We're proud to highlight two incredible self-directed projects from our Dada Devs Peer Leads and Developers in the 2026 BOSS Challenge! @Su_Githaiga built a Lightning fee-bumping service that tackles one of the most frustrating pain points in the Lightning Network — stuck commitment transactions. Her tool leverages anchor outputs and CPFP (Child-Pays-For-Parent) to get those transactions confirmed, bringing real utility to everyday Lightning users. GitHub Link: github.com/SusanGithaigaN… @Its_nkathake created Know Your Coin History, a transaction graph explorer that lets you trace the full ancestry of your Bitcoin coins. From recursive UTXO tracing and wallet fingerprinting heuristics to BIP-329 label exports — all running against your own local Bitcoin Core node or Electrum server — it's a powerful tool for privacy-conscious Bitcoiners. GitHub Link: github.com/nkatha23/knowy… Two projects. Two builders. Both solving real problems in the Bitcoin ecosystem. 💡 Give them a follow and check out their work! #BOSS #opensource #dadadevs

Btrust Builders
Btrust Builders@btrust_builders·
The Q1 2026 Btrust Builders pathway cohorts have officially wrapped, and we couldn’t be more proud of everyone who showed up, put in the work, and came out the other side a stronger builder. Across two pathways, developers from 24 countries spent between 7 and 8 weeks going deeper into Bitcoin’s technical foundations. They worked through Bitcoin's technical infrastructure, from transaction creation and node management to open-source workflows and protocol-level concepts, building the kind of foundational knowledge that turns genuine curiosity into meaningful contribution. This cohort also made history: women represented 34% of the Mastering Bitcoin track, the highest we’ve seen so far. It’s a milestone that reflects our ongoing commitment to making Bitcoin development accessible, inclusive, and representative of the communities it’s meant to serve.

Saturday, the 16th, will be a day to remember. 🧡 We celebrated our fourth year anniversary, graduated Cohort 9 & 10 of Bitcoin Dada and Cohort 3 of @DadaDevs — and without even fully realizing it at the time, we convened 102 women in one room for what is probably the first physical Bitcoin event in Africa attended entirely by women. And that alone is history!! 1/n

@EmmanuelMacron , You stood in Nairobi in 2026, in a summit you convened hastily to salvage what remained of France’s African credibility after the continent’s most dignified populations had organised themselves with remarkable clarity and expelled your soldiers, your bases, and your flags from their soil, and you declared, before a room full of African heads of state who had the historical misfortune of sitting there in silence, that “ you are the true Pan-Africanist”. I have been trying, with genuine intellectual effort, to locate the precise category of moral and cognitive failure that produces a statement of that magnitude, delivered with that degree of composure, and I have concluded that it does not fit neatly into any existing taxonomy. It is its own species and it requires a name that has not yet been invented, something that sits at the precise intersection of historical illiteracy, institutional shamelessness, and the specific brand of civilisational arrogance that your republic has refined across five centuries into something almost indistinguishable from a natural disposition. Allow me to offer you what your education, expensive and celebrated as it undoubtedly was, clearly failed to provide: a history lesson. Pan-Africanism was not born in Paris. It was not theorised in the corridors of Sciences Po or the salons of the Fifth Republic. It was born in the holds of slave ships, in the plantation fields of Saint-Domingue in the exile of men and women whom your republic and its predecessors hunted, poisoned, shot, disappeared and buried in unmarked graves precisely because they had the temerity to believe that African and African-descended people deserved to govern themselves. Pan-Africanism is, at its most fundamental, the political philosophy that said no to everything France spent three centuries saying yes to: slavery, colonialism and noecolonialism. Read in full here @faridabemba/an-open-letter-to-emmanuel-macron-you-are-not-a-panafricanist-and-can-never-be-349725eb4778" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">medium.com/@faridabemba/a…

4 years?? sheesh 😮‍🔥 Congratulations @btc_dada 🎉
Bitcoin DADA@btc_dada

10 cohorts and over 1,500 women later, this is more than just a program, it is an unfolding story! Bitcoin Dada started from a simple but important observation made by our founder, @marcelorraine Many African women were curious about Bitcoin, but there were very few spaces where they could learn in a way that felt clear, practical, and welcoming. The information available often felt too technical or disconnected from their everyday realities. This led to the decision to create a space specifically for women. A space where learning could happen without pressure, where questions were encouraged, and where understanding Bitcoin was the priority. From the first cohort to where we are today, that focus has remained the same. Women come in with curiosity, and over time, build confidence and clarity in how Bitcoin works and how it can be used in real life. What started as a small initiative has grown into a community of women across Africa who are learning, engaging, and finding their place in the Bitcoin ecosystem. As we mark 4 years of Bitcoin Dada, we are reminded that this journey is still ongoing. There is still more to learn, more women to reach, and more work to be done. And we are just getting started. #BitcoinDada #WomenInBitcoin #AfricaWomen #FinancialFreedom.

ATTENTION PLEASE‼️ Over the past months, we’ve been working intentionally on building real infrastructure for female developers in Bitcoin, not temporary programs, but dedicated infrastructure that provide tools, collaborative spaces and resources required to design, test, contribute to open source and bitcoin solutions with direct impact across Africa. From this vision comes Dada Hub, the first physical Bitcoin hub in Africa, designed for open-source development, technical learning, research, collaboration, and hands-on building. The hub will host developer meetups, study and working groups, mentorship, protocol education, and early-stage experimentation, all focused on creating practical, locally relevant, and globally impactful Bitcoin solutions. To bring Dada Hub to life, we are raising funds via @geyserfund . If you believe in building durable #Bitcoin infrastructure, supporting female developers, and creating Africa-focused solutions, you can donate any amount via the Geyser link or follow it to learn more about the project and our vision. geyser.fund/project/dada/?…
