Two years ago, I published my first book, One Lawn at a Time—a story based on my life, reimagined as if I were a kid. Since then, that book has gone on to win multiple national awards. But what makes that moment even more meaningful is this… my first year of high school, I had a teacher by the name of Miss Samuels tell me that I would be nothing. At that time, those words could have stuck. They could have shaped how I saw myself. But what she didn’t know… was that God had other plans. That’s why I write these books. Not just to inspire kids to serve, but to remind every child that no label, no opinion, and no doubt placed on them can define their future. Your past doesn’t determine your purpose. Every child has greatness in them—and sometimes all it takes is one opportunity, one belief, or one moment to change everything.
