Topic this week: Wave practices, Attacking v defending - Overloads/Underloads
Different ways to look at this one:
- 4v3 attacking overload or defending the box against an overload.

Through the thirds rondo.
3 zones, 3v1 rondo in each zone, can the possession team play through the thirds and finish in the big goal. If the defender wins the ball in their third, score in the mini goal.

@CoachRichLTJAFC @SundayShare10 Yeah definitely rich. I started with the 4 locked in the zones and progressed it to neutral to add more freedom and realism to the game
English

@JACoaching96 @SundayShare10 Looks good mate, I would have neutral players each end not locked into corners but with the freedom to move laterally across the line.
I avoid practices with players fixed in positions as it takes away realism (just my opinion )

Because I’ve been accepted on the UEFA A License for 2026, I thought I’d share one of my UEFA B License sessions: topic - Creativity in final third.
5v4, with 2 neutral wingers, 2v2 box at the top of pitch.

@tactica1thinker Brilliant, how long did it take to build and were there any challenges along the way?
English

@JACoaching96 I’ve designed my own coaching session planning software called Coach-ops

🗣️ Question for all coaches
How do you plan your coaching sessions?
When you’re preparing for the week ahead, what actually shapes your session design:
•The game on the weekend?
•Individual or team needs?
•Long-term development goals?

Another go to session for this week’s Sunday share.
Not much pitch space, not sure on player numbers, minimal equipment and needs to be adaptable.
Easy set up and can get many different outcomes from the session!

English

@kieronbutton17 @SundayShare10 But each session is different depending on a number of factors such as, weather, pitch space, player numbers etc. we try to keep it consistent and structured but need to be adaptable as well
English

@kieronbutton17 @SundayShare10 Yeah definitely Kie, at our club we have a curriculum we go off. We train 3x a week and it typically looks like this, topic of the week in possession, second session flip it to out of possession same topic & third session being match prep for the weekend.
