@david_payton Mine was a 58 Ranger. 361 with a 3 speed manual, column shift with overdrive. Chromed the stock "Mercury" style wheels and put Ford Aerostar coils in the front with a drop block in the back. Probably one of the best cars I have ever owned. Highway monster.
Today was E-DAY, Edsel Day. Today on September 4th 1957 the Edsel was officially introduced to the public. I enjoyed my 20 years of owning a couple of Edsels and belonging to the Edsel Owner's Club and the International Edsel Club. I'm still an Edsel enthusiast ☺️👍
@67gta390 4 to 6 weeks depending on parts availability. It was out of warranty since I bought it and it sat for a few years before install. They agreed to cover labor if I covered parts. Fair enough for me, not unhappy. Blueprint customer service has been great.
Some people have it together and know what they're doing, but some who venture up there are complete ass clowns. We may not be able to reach you if you have an emergency up there, so be prepared to abandon your vehicle, be stranded, or be seriously injured and inconvenienced.”
New shoes for the Wrangler. Gonna swap out the Walker Evans bead locks and 35 12.50s for some white steelies and 35 10.50s. Keeping the beadlocks but switching up the look for a bit. Did some trading for Jeep parts I wasn't using. Anyone run Kanati Mud Hogs? Reviews look good.
Found the back up hoist. She's out. Apparently it ripped both motor mounts to pieces as well. Now I need a pallet and it goes back to the builder for their inspection.
Soooo.... we figured out where the weak spot in the ram was. Good news, the hammer drawer is know well lubricated and I'll be damned if any of them will ever rust. Bit surprised when it ejaculated across the shop....
Managed to pop an O ring on the hoist while working on the 46 today. Gonna go old school and work on the pit. Not tall enough to stand up, too tall to work on your knees, and you know someone's forehead is gonna bleed.
Start to finish for a few hours this afternoon. Stripped everything we could off to yank it out. Torque converter bolts and bell housing bolts and she's free.
@CimaronH I'm still kinda numb and waiting for BluePrint to decide if they are gonna help out. This cuts into my cruising for babes this summer. If there's one thing I've learned owning old cars, chicks dig no AC, torn seats, bad paint, and that good hydro-carbon fuel smell.
@JAM19821 Right. I was worried internal starvation. Possibly inside the crank circuit. Your pressure unit is probably on top of the motor right? Too bad they don’t make some internal units as well! I bet new cars have several. You’d think so…right?🤷🏻
Welp... hot rod autopsy just wrapped up. Looks like #4 has given up. For refence, looking up the cylinder bore past the crank, bottom of the piston and discoloration on the rod.
@3Cpindell It's a bummer. Pricing out options if the warranty doesn't work out. It was good for 3 years but I bought it in 2019 and didn't start it for the first time until 21. No real miles until end of 22. Better parts are going back in no matter what.
