@LeahRemini Educating oneself takes self discipline, not a hard, technical skill, but a very critical skill. Rock on and very admirable. When I interview people to fill a job opening, this "soft" skill is something I look for as a proven goal.

In another deranged post, he falsely claimed that the "Carroll case" is part of the "Democrats playbook to tarnish my name and person" and is "being funded and tried by Democrat operatives." Of course, Trump did sexually abuse her, and that's why she was awarded $5 million in damages in court. By repeating the exact attacks that cost him the original case, Trump has set himself up for another defeat. This is cut and dry. He has defamed her again, and he must be forced to pay the price. @niamhmcgann The problem is the verification plan is considered something to cover testing of all requirements that are traced to design specifications. Design specs are traced up to requirements where both are eventually covered in tests either at a higher level and in unit tests.

@JA_Harrison Is the "design verification plan" a low level test plan (e.g. Press button A to...), where your "verification plan" is a high level test plan (ensuring all requirements are met)?

Has anyone ever had to write/create a "design verification plan" as well as a Verification Plan? Yes, this is a strict #regulatedenvironment where I'm required to write out documentation. My point is that a these plans are one in the same. Am I misunderstanding? #testing

@allygill Oh the risks will be documented and provided in a couple of ways...our risk management document as well as discussion in our software dev plan, our SFMEA, and in our bug tracking system. So the story will be clear. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. 😁

@JA_Harrison I'm far from an expert but the problem I have is that the compliance people can always tell you what they need but can never tell you why. I was an auditor for many years and could always explain both! Not to mention the risks of not doing it either rightly or wrongly

@allygill It's my dev manager asking me for a "design verification plan " as well as a verification plan. My first reaction to his inquiry was. "Huh, they are the same." But I did review the FDA's Guidance regarding medical device development and there is no mention of both needed.

@JA_Harrison I suspect that your compliance people are misunderstanding the 'regulations' - rather than you. I also suspect that compliance trumps common sense in far too many organisations. Maybe even it's time for the regulations to be overhauled for current thinking?

@jlottosen That was my understanding too Jesper. But I was just getting a feel. In my situation, we have requirements and design specs traced up to the requirements. I wrote a verification plan based on requirements. I had never heard of a Design verification plan.

Is anyone else completely exhausted by the onslaught of breaking news? We need to figure out how to connect away from the cycle. Avoiding long-term problems—for which there are viable solutions—leaves us feeling isolated and apart from each other. I’ve been realizing, more forcefully over the last few weeks, how much gets forgotten or pushed to the side when we’re constantly dealing with the latest outrage or trauma. It feels like we’re so at the mercy of current events that we can’t give our attention to the far-reaching consequences of some of the legislative and judicial decisions that are upending so many lives. This country has never dealt properly with its mental health crisis and, in the wake of COVID, the incidence and severity of psychiatric disorders will only increase. Failing to protect our children from gun violence, putting the health of pregnant people in the hands of those who do not value life, and leaving victims of rape and incest—even young girls—to the mercy of men in power who do not care about them is to exacerbate an already critically misunderstood and poorly-funded problem.

@newsofthedamned It could and should be zero mv (0 mv) if the awitch is off but when on, there needs to be something reported especially while being engaged in functional tasks. That's why we logg values to check to see what is happening.

I found a bug in my #medicaldevice's log file through studying it which displayed battery voltage but was reading 0 while the switch was turned on & working. How can a battery be on & working but have a 0 battery voltage? Lesson for #firmware #testers to study log files.
