While we celebrate Winfred Mutile Yavi, who was born and raised in Makueni County, for winning a Gold medal for Bahrain, we don't have to trash Kenya, Yavi's motherland. In any case, she confessed that meeting the qualification threshold to represent Kenya is very competitive. Kenya provided the competition that enabled her to train harder and thrive in her craft. Let's be positive and appreciate her for finding better opportunities elsewhere. Hon. @kipmurkomen kindly take note of such cases if approved. Our sports men and women need more motivation and recognition.

Just read that she was denied a chance to join the kenyan team, and was asked to give 200K to join, so she went to run for Bahrain. She just bagged a gold medal and will be paid Ksh32Million. Meanwhile a gold for Kenya only attracts Ksh5Million. I’m happy for her🫶🏼

“I'm Polycarp Nyonje from Kakamega and l want to expose Mumias East Constituency MP, Hon. Peter Salasya. In 2017, Hon @P_Salasya took a Sacco loan of Ksh 165,000 while he was working with Diamond Trust Bank, Kakamega Branch. I acted as his guarantor, together with two other members. He immediately defaulted on the loan and each time we spoke in person, or on the phone, he kept on promising that he would repay it. He continued to promise us that he would repay, right up to the time he became a member of parliament. I approached the National Assembly @NAssemblyKE and the office of the Ombudsman @KenyasOmbudsman but didn't get any help from either. I have tried engaging Salasya on social media platforms but he never responds. Our hard-earned savings were debited to the tune of Ksh40,821. This affected our borrowing power in the Sacco. When I try to reach him nowadays, he doesn't respond to my calls, or even texts. I also approached his party, DAP-Kenya Party but they didn't assist us. I'm seeking your help to reach out to this man so that he can realise that he has really subjected us to financial constraints, as he lives large.”- As received via DM. #SemaUkweli

Ladies and gentlemen... I campaigned and voted for Dr. William Ruto against all odds. Being a Luo, the easiest option was to join my tribesmen in singing Baba the #5. After all, it was the first time in history that the Incumbent President, the deepstate and system were on the side of Luos. But I chose otherwise! Why? Because I knew that our country was already off a very steep cliff and that Baba the #5 was one of the people who helped Uhuru to push our country over the cliff. I needed someone who could make the had and very unpopular decisions to save our country! I wanted a man who could do away with the unsustainable subsidies and nonsensical borrowing (where you borrow from China to pay salaries etc). Well, I believed that man was Ruto and supported him despite the risks! Fortunately, Ruto won! After assessing the situation, the President decided to travel a very unpopular road... Ruto decided to question the status quo in ways no one had dared before... 1. He asked why parents who could take their kids to premium academies wanted the government to fund their kids at the university even though they could pay. He decided to reform the High Education Funding System, make it EQUITABLE! 2. Daktari Ruto questioned why a self-employed person (contributing 500/- to NHIF) was only entitled to paracetamol and mediocre cover while a civil servant (earning 500k but contributing 1700/- to NHIF) could easily walk into Nairobi Hospital to treat "homa". Ruto chose contribution based on percentage and of course an overhaul NHIF to make UHC a reality 3. William questioned why a country should spend 600bn in Education every year without any plan to create jobs for graduates. The President decided to create jobs through the Housing Fund and other avenues 4. Dr. William wondered why our parents should retire into poverty ati because NSSF isn't working He chose to reform NSSF and revamped the Inua Jamii Cash Transfer to include EVERYONE above 70. 5. The President wondered why a country like Kenya, blessed with arable land, should have her people dying of starvation every year... The President decided to avail cheaper fertilizer to farmers. Extension services are returning to our farmers too! These decisions ladies and gentlemen were not popular! As you know too well, it's human nature to resist change. But President Ruto made the hard decisions Anyway! To remove ourselves from the valley, we needed to find a new source of income! Either we continue borrowing or fund ourselves out of the poverty! President Ruto has, again taken the tax route! The unpopular, but more sustainable, plan has seen prices of things like fuel go up and many have to do with a thinner paycheck! Now I'm willing to give Dr. William a a chance to get us out of the cliff! I know others who say Ruto should go the Uhuru route i.e, lie to Kenyans that things are okay through subsidies and endless borrowing! I'm for a little pain now to save us from a lot of pain later! There are those who say let's enjoy now...we may not be there when the real suffering begins. As someone who voted for William, how do you vote? A little pain now to save us later or false comfort now before we eventually jump into the fire?

The avalanche of election related military coups in Africa disrupts democratic gains. In most of these elections, Observers were excluded from the electoral process. Election Observers are necessary as they contribute towards transparency & accountability of an election outcome.

DETECTIVES RECOVER SUSPECTED COCAINE PELLETS IN ONGOING CRACKDOWN Detectives have recovered narcotic drugs suspected to be cocaine, in the ongoing crackdown against drug trafficking in the city. In an operation conducted in Buru Buru early today morning, sleuths from the Anti-Narcotics Unit raided a house at Harambee estate and recovered 18 pellets of the highly addictive drug. Also seized during the 6am raid were wads of cash in Kenya shillings and foreign currency, believed to be proceeds from drug trafficking. The cash included $12,601 USD, €15 Euros, Sh509, 495, Tsh24,000 and 10,000 Angolan Kwanza. Two suspects Curtis Muli and Teresa Achieng were also arrested during the raid. The search was extended to an adjacent house believed to be a stash house within the same area where 3 test tubes, a digital weighing machine and ID card belonging to Curtis Muli Mutuku was recovered. The approximate weight of the suspected drugs recovered is 0.244 grams. Meanwhile, the two suspects are being held at Muthaiga police station for further investigation and preparation for arraignment. Today’s raid follows yet another successful operation by the detectives on Tuesday, that led to the arrest of Ngara’s Mathe believed to be one of the biggest supplier of marijuana in the city. During the raid, Sh13.4 Million was recovered in cash and a consignment of 26 gunny bags full of cannabis seized. The operation continues. #FichuakwaDCI0800722203

If Hon. Raila would just for one time ensure Kenya’s smooth economic growth after elections, i am sure winning for even one term would not be a challenge. Sasa, the thousands of people he destroys their businesses during his maandamano is the same crowd he expects to vote for him
