One of the mechanisms by which supraspinal CNS fatigue occurs during exercise is likely an increase in the perception of effort by discomforting or painful sensations. This study confirms that pain does cause CNS fatigue during exercise.

@RyNorbury @thebfrpros Very curious to see how you will integrate BFR. Can't wait to see these future projects :)

@thebfrpros We have some work from the University of Kent group, looking at the effects of increased pain on whole body cycling time to exhaustion performance and submaximal effort cycling. I also hope to integrate BFR and saline pain to investigate more in depth neurophys responses!
