@MadsenSouth I think “ever” is a key word here. Generally, no. But if a GP starts taking less risk after years of successfully running a volatile strategy, it seems fair for an LP to prod as to why the GP has drifted its strategy, and encourage a return to more risk

@patrick_oshag And of course, alignment. E.g. what percent of their net worth is invested in the fund and how will that affect their risk tolerance, and how are fees structured to incentivize performance

@patrick_oshag Try to discern PM/CIO’s abilities as both a portfolio manager and a people manager. Discuss their personal background, track record, investment philosophy/strategy, portfolio construction/risk management. But really try to see what they’re like as a person (ethical, driven, etc)
