@itzDab30 @hasanthehun @IAmPoliticsGirl How does it feel to get all of your arguments decimated from every possible angle by a deplorable, uneducated 3x Trump voter? Probably not so good, eh?

“Billionaires deserve their 4%” is such an unbelievably submissive argument 😭 You went from “truth and data” to openly defending oligarchs charging society a “service fee” for existing. And once again you hide behind averages because your entire argument dies the second anyone mentions median wealth or actual distribution. You’re not doing analysis. You’re using statistics like a camouflage net for billionaire worship.

@itzDab30 @hasanthehun @IAmPoliticsGirl Real (inflation adjusted) median wealth has increased by over 200% since 1980. Oh the horror! How will all of us serfs ever survive?!?

@itzDab30 @hasanthehun @IAmPoliticsGirl Yes, I’ve submitted to the fact that free markets distribute and create wealth more fairly and effectively than a centrally planned economy does. I already addressed your concerns about distribution when I proved that the share of wealth held by the bottom 90% is stable.

@itzDab30 @hasanthehun @IAmPoliticsGirl Yes, when the average household wealth of non-billionaires is $1,000,000, people tend to not care that billionaires have basically charged a 4% tax for their services. Billionaires deserve 4% of total wealth more than the government deserves 30% of our paychecks, that’s for sure!

You keep acting like “everyone else collectively owns more money” is some devastating rebuttal while completely dodging the point about concentration inside that distribution. That’s why your arguments always collapse into giant aggregate numbers and smug sarcasm instead of actual analysis. You cannot engage with distributional nuance without your entire worldview short-circuiting.

@Lisa08407 @itzDab30 @hasanthehun @IAmPoliticsGirl Well, if you feel that stats that take a wrecking ball to leftist economic ideology are fake, who am I to argue? That’s your truth, and everyone’s truth is valid. Am I doing this right??

@itzDab30 @hasanthehun @IAmPoliticsGirl Your argument is “1100 billionaires own $8 trillion, and that’s a crisis whether the remaining 134 million households own $177 trillion or $1.77.” Besides ignoring half of the equation and arguing against a straw man version of my position, you’re doing a fine job. Keep it up!

@JohnHankBaumann @hasanthehun @IAmPoliticsGirl Your entire argument is “aggregate wealth went up therefore concentration of wealth and economic insecurity can’t be problems,” which is intellectually shallow as hell. That’s like saying nobody can drown because the average water depth of a river is only 3 feet.

@Lisa08407 @itzDab30 @hasanthehun @IAmPoliticsGirl Read my comment again. “Real” means inflation adjusted. Inflation takes housing costs into account. This discussion is about wealth, not income, which is why I didn’t provide a stat that considered income distribution. What else ya got, Lisa?

@itzDab30 @hasanthehun @IAmPoliticsGirl The very specific stat I provided takes inflation into account. That’s why I said “real” wealth. I considered how the 96% of wealth that billionaires left for the rest of us equates to about $1 million per non-billionaire household. You’re either retarded, or dishonest as hell.

Translation: “I found a very specific stat that ignores inflation, housing costs, healthcare, distribution, concentration of wealth, bargaining power, productivity gains, or any relevant context at all, but it makes me feel like a big boy on Twitter.” Stop pretending to be an intellectual. You’re not. You’re a populist cuck slurping billionaire meat for free.

@kasthomas Are you gonna tell everyone how average hourly earnings have increased by 35% during that same timeframe, or are you just doing your part to make people think the economy is worse than it actually is?

@itzDab30 @hasanthehun @IAmPoliticsGirl I hope you continue to be miserable because you believe your life has been made worse because billionaires are hoarding your wealth. I’ll continue to be grateful that I live in an economy that has produced a 273% increase in real non-billionaire wealth over the past 50 years.

@JohnHankBaumann @hasanthehun @IAmPoliticsGirl Classic delusion. “Truth and data” apparently means panic-posting Grok screenshots, Cato links, random quote tweets, and screaming “Marxism” every time someone points out your argument keeps collapsing under its own weight.

@itzDab30 @hasanthehun @IAmPoliticsGirl You never arrived at the stage of the argument where you provided rebuttals against my ACTUAL position. That’s because you CAN’T argue against my position, because my position is based on truth and data, while yours is based on feelings and flawed Marxist ideology.

@JohnHankBaumann @hasanthehun @IAmPoliticsGirl This is such an embarrassing pivot 😭 After hours of pretending to be some hyper-rational data warrior, you’ve devolved into posting random “leftists dumb” screenshots because you can’t actually defend your own argument anymore. You are intellectually tapping out in real time.

You’ve spent like 40 replies hysterically defending billionaire wealth concentration only to suddenly pivot to “I’m not in favor of unlimited wealth concentration” the second the conversation cornered you there. Also, screaming “4%!!” over and over does not make it less absurd that roughly a thousand people control trillions of dollars in wealth. At this point you’re not even defending an argument. You’re emotionally buffering for your favorite oligarchs.

@Ecnerwal23 63.1% (a majority) of the votes in Illinois came from outside of Cook County. If you remove Cook County from IL, Trump would’ve won the state by 250,185 votes. Illinois is, in fact, a conservative state, excluding the minority of voters who live in Cook County.

@itzDab30 @hasanthehun @IAmPoliticsGirl Yes, people with an unhealthy hatred of “dispensable parasite” billionaires usually enact Soviet-style authoritarian policies when given the chance. You’re the one whose imagination fails to comprehend that one can recognize the importance of billionaires without worshipping them

@JohnHankBaumann @hasanthehun @IAmPoliticsGirl It’s honestly impressive how fast you jump from “maybe trillion-level wealth concentration is unhealthy” to “AUTHORITARIAN MONSTROSITY.” You argue like someone whose political imagination ends at billionaire worship or Soviet fanfiction.

@itzDab30 @hasanthehun @IAmPoliticsGirl To clarify, my positions are that billionaires help fuel growth and aren’t “dispensable parasites”, the “increasing inequality crisis” narrative is a hoax, non-billionaires owning 96% of $185 trillion is great, and the graph proves my point about said hoax.

Your “actual point” keeps shape-shifting every 3 replies because none of the previous ones land. First billionaires were economically necessary. Then inequality was a hoax. Then “actually it’s only 4%.” Now it’s “you misunderstood the graph.” You are arguing backwards from a conclusion and pretending it’s analysis.

@itzDab30 @hasanthehun @IAmPoliticsGirl Once again, since you want the government to limit the share of wealth the top 1100 individuals own, tell me, what should the government set the limit at. If you’re going to have the government be an authoritarian monstrosity that prevents inequality, I want specifics.

The fact that you think “only 4%” is some tiny harmless number is exactly why this conversation is going nowhere. A microscopic fraction of humans controlling trillions of dollars in wealth is apparently normal to you as long as you phrase it with a small percentage sign attached to it.

@JohnHankBaumann @hasanthehun @IAmPoliticsGirl You keep saying “the data disproves inequality” while posting a graph showing the bottom 90% owns about 30% of the wealth. At some point this stops being a disagreement and starts looking like you genuinely cannot process what you’re reading.

You keep responding to “billionaires aren’t necessary” with “but some billionaires started companies,” like you think you’ve discovered fire. Nobody said entrepreneurs don’t exist. You just keep making the completely unserious leap from “some rich people built successful companies” to “therefore individuals having dragon-hoard levels of wealth is economically necessary.”

You’re celebrating a graph where the bottom 90% owns roughly 30% of the wealth like you just disproved inequality itself. Also “the data source is secretly biased unless it supports me, in which case it becomes credible” is not the devastating intellectual victory lap you think it is.
