It's official (as official as things can be these days at least). After 3 years of high school gov and econ, I'm going back to middle school history! So um... #sschat

Wrapped up the week by completing a Sketch & Tell-O with a xCER (remix inspired by @arianakhern) on prohibition. Kids did a great job analyzing the time period and applying it to a clip from the Simpsons. #eduprotocols @jcorippo

@MsGreeneEdu @DiffitApp Is there a way for individual teachers to maintain access to the premium options or is it only whole district?

Our @diffitapp template of the day is our One Thing I Learned template! Students take notes on each paragraph they read by completing the sentence "One thing I learned..." Make one for your classroom at Diffit.Me

My World Studies ss are loving the new @DiffitApp visual summary template as they read and explore myths of the Middle Ages. I appreciate how the template effectively chunks new information and provides Ss with choice in how they making meaning and express what they have learned.

@mrtopliff Awesome! Do you have a lesson or materials you’d be willing to share? I’m teaching 7th grade world history for the first time instead of HS US History and I know we cover the Renaissance. Was looking for something cool like this!

@JBuckLearns Real easy we had discussed some of the new techniques introduced during the time and I shared how we witness the use of them in some examples. Then kids partnered and took turns trying to use some of those same techniques to replicate the image I shared on the screen.

So you think you can paint? WH students tried their luck at Renaissance Art to better understand why these works are truly one of kind.

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but gamified stations for B2SN is absolutely the way to go!!! No awkward lulls, the whole family can be involved and engaged, takes the pressure/spotlight off of you, and is a fun way to make connections with families. Give it a shot!

@socialstudiestx @TigardTualSD I will continue it! Students will earn XP that they can redeem for different prizes, we will continue our #FunFridays where they earn game cards, and there will be a House Cup Challenge by period 😁
