@rajsinghchohan @THEZONEEEEEE Liverpool battered them on a few occasions. 2 finals, one was won by errors and individual excellence the other won by a keeper who had game of his life. Don’t make out like tactical masterclasses won them games it’s just Madrid got that aura in these games to somehow win.

@THEZONEEEEEE Yes spot on because city have specific buildup patterns that Klopp could coach a press for whereas kroos and modric could move and innovate

Pep & Klopp both say this despite being conquered by Real Madrid and I’ll leave you with a final thought on this. It frustrates both that Real Madrid are a team who don’t consistently dominate and overwhelm them for periods, yet are still able to hurt them. Note how Pep & Bernardo insisted Man City played well in the 1st leg. Real Madrid are a moments team. But there’s a reason why they are able to execute so well in specific moments. It is down to Real Madrid’s managers not overcoaching patterns and instead putting their (very intelligent) players in the best areas of the pitch where they can make the best decisions & show their most valuable traits. Carvajal-Modric baiting to kill Liverpool’s press in the 2022 final. Jude positioned high and running the transition back to goal for the 2024 goal at the Etihad. Fede free role from the right wing as a runner to exploit vulnerabilities in how Man City’s defensive line track runners. Intelligent players empowered by the coaches to execute their best traits in ways that exploit opposition weaknesses. Liverpool & Man City can have their “dominance” as far as Real Madrid are concerned.

When discussions began about bringing Aragorn back to the screen, Viggo Mortensen chose to step away. His reason was simple but powerful: Aragorn is not part of the story being told in the source material. Mortensen explained that if the character does not properly exist in the narrative, then forcing him into the film would not feel true to J. R. R. Tolkien’s world. While Aragorn is briefly alluded to in The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies, he never actually appears in that part of the story. In an industry where many actors chase roles purely for paychecks or nostalgia, Mortensen’s decision stands out. It shows the same integrity he brought to the character in the first place.

🚨💣 𝐄𝐗𝐂𝐋𝐔𝐒𝐈𝐕𝐄: The Liverpool board have told Arne Slot to prioritize deep runs in the FA Cup and the Champions League. The club are determined to end the season with a trophy in the cabinet. As far as the Premier League, they urge him to finish in the top 4 to avoid massive financial losses.

Very easy to focus on Liverpool and their 9th League defeat of the season... They lost 8 in the previous 2 seasons combined, the last time they tasted defeat in more League games was 2015/16 (10) when they finished 8th. Truly shocking from the Champions. But for me this was all about Wolves... Back-to-back wins against Villa and Liverpool, as many victories as in their previous 32 dating back to April 2025. Rob Edwards has got this side going, Andre and Joao Gomes in particular excelled tonight!

@GooalMouth The main reason why Rio is limited to 3 minute cameos is bcos of Slot’s obsession to play Gakpo. Nothing more. Fowler, McManaman, Sterling, Owen et al all played for us at a young age. If Slot was Lamine Yamal’s manager, he will still be bottle feeding.

Jayden Danns and Stefan Bajetic are proof that we need to wrap this kid up in cotton wool. He will be a star, just not now. I get that people have so much hate for Gakpo that it makes their mouths froth. But he is an international, Premier League-winning winger who is our third-highest goal scorer this season. The club made a big mistake in not signing another forward to replace Diaz.
Goaldata - Liverpool Zone@LiverpoolZNE

🚨🔴 Back in January, Arne Slot explained that he is limiting Rio Ngumoha's minutes to avoid the overtraining issues that led to Jayden Danns’ stress fractures 😳: “If I’m correct, (Danns) is one of the players who got a stress fracture because he was young and, from what I’ve been told, was a bit overtrained. That’s why we are so careful with Rio Ngumoha, that he’s two days a week off the pitch if that’s possible, to not have that same situation with him.”

Liverpool’s perfect summer window: Outgoing: - Gomez £10m - Endō £10m - Tsimikas £12m - Robertson Free - Konaté Free - Mac Allister £75m - Chiesa £14m - Salah £125m - Elliott £35m - Gakpo £75m Total: £365m Incoming: - Olisé £105m - Mickey van de Ven £65m - Archie Gray £60m - Gordon £100m - Wharton £80m - Promote Luke Chambers - Bajčetić takes over Endō’s role - Jayden Danns stays to be 3rd CF - Trey Nyoni takes next step - Josh Abe starts being integrated as RW back up, like Rio this season. Total: £370m Squad composition: GKs: Alisson, Mamardashvili, Jaros, Woodman CBs: Virgil, Jacquet, Leoni, VdV, Mor Talla Ndiaye, Ndukwe, Adekoya, Lucky FBs: Bradley, Frimpong, Kerkez, Chambers 6/8: Gravenberch, Gray, Bajčetić, Wharton, Curtis Jones 8/10: Wirtz, Szoboszlai, Nyoni LW: Gordon, Ngumoha RW: Olisé, Abe, Morrison CF: Isak, Ekitike But the true beauty here is how many players you have who can cover other positions. RB cover: Archie Gray, Szoboszlai. LB cover: Van de Ven LW alt: Ekitike, Wirtz RW alt: Gordon You keep a small, positive squad who all get the game time they want + competition in key positions (Rio takes the next steps developmentally, pushing for more minutes which keeps Gordon at his intense best every week), solid midfield depth and competition. Slot gets to play his regular XI all the time as he likes to, but when he has injuries or rotates for cup games, he still has top quality players and depth in defence. We can challenge for a treble with this, if injuries aren’t too long term during the season.

I wonder how many of those cheering on Labour’s expanded ban on trail hunting fully comprehend the consequences. Dozens of hunts will close and thousands of working hounds - incapable of being turned into pets or re-homed - will be destroyed. independent.co.uk/bulletin/news/…

So now Labour wants to ban trail hunting. You might as well ban walking dogs in the countryside as they chase rabbits, hares, deer and foxes. Labour are authoritarian control freaks.
