@coachbrucepearl Don’t do that. Nothing wrong with Dearborn. Appreciate your support for Israel coach, and what this speaker said was inappropriate, but don’t start attacking Muslims, not cool

@coachbrucepearl ironic that a history professor at Michigan doesn’t know his own institution’s history as being a university who accepted Jews when others put on quotas. Hopefully the university corrects for this but he just ruined a very important moment for a lot of families

On this day, May 2, 2026, University of Michigan graduation speaker, Professor Derek Petersen praised the grads 4 supporting Hamas and called out Israel for the War in Gaza. He must have been on sabbatical on Oct 7 2023 or in 2005 when Israel gave the Palestinians Gaza hoping 4☮️
Captain Allen@CptAllenHistory

On This Day, May 2, 2004: Palestinian terrorists ambushed a car near Kissufim in Gaza & murdered Tali Hatuel — a 34-year-old Jewish pregnant social worker — and her four young daughters: Hila (11), Hadar (9), Roni (7), and Meirav (2). Tali was eight months pregnant with her first son. The terrorists shot at her car, forcing it off the road. After the initial gunfire, they ran up and executed the mother and her four little girls at point-blank range, emptying their magazines to make sure they were dead. This wasn’t “resistance.” It was the deliberate massacre of a pregnant woman and her children — pure evil designed to maximize Jewish suffering. This is what was happening in Gaza. The following year, in 2005, Israel completely withdrew from Gaza — uprooting 21 Jewish communities, removing every last settler and soldier, dismantling homes, and even digging up Jewish graves to move them. It was one of the most painful and controversial decisions in Israel’s history. Israel gave the Palestinians full control of the territory in the hope they would finally choose peace and build a state. Instead, the Palestinians elected Hamas. Then Hamas staged a bloody coup, expelled Fatah from Gaza, and ruled the Strip with an iron fist ever since. Almost immediately after the withdrawal, the terrorists began firing rockets at Israeli civilians. They never stopped — thousands upon thousands of rockets over the next 18 years, interrupted only by temporary “ceasefires” that Hamas routinely broke — right up until October 7, 2023. So yea, it certainly didn't start on October 7.

#Patriots HC Mike Vrabel will not be with the team on Saturday for the NFL Draft as he has decided he will seek counseling, per @MikeReiss. "I have always wanted to lead by example, and I believe this is what I have to do to be the best husband, father and coach that I possibly can be.” More: espn.com/nfl/story/_/id…

#Patriots HC Mike Vrabel said he’s had difficult conversations with family and those close to him, and wanted to speak with players first before addressing the media — which is why he waited until today. His full statement is below, via @kstone06:

@mcuban What’s the interest rate on the potential $30k loan?

What if there was a bank account available, that required you to deposit monthly, what you would have paid an insurance company in premiums, for an ACA silver plan. So for a family of 5 about $2100. The amount would then be used for Stop Loss Insurance set at $30k dollars. About $300. Another $200 would be used for local Direct Primary Care for your family The balance would be in YOUR bank account. Like an HSA, It could only be used for approved medical expenses. If you never have any medical expenses, you will get to keep the money plus checking act level interest, when you turn 65 If you have a medical event that is more than what you have saved, your bank will loan you the money you need to pay for it, up to the $30k stop loss trigger You would repay that amount using the monthly $1600 net deposit. Once the loan is paid off, the deposits start to accrue to you again. This is not insurance. It’s a specially designed bank account that gives you control, support, a doctor to work with and catastrophic financial protection. Lots of work and issues to be addressed. But I was curious what people think Let me know !
Mark Cuban@mcuban

The one debt you can’t ever pay off ? Your insurance premiums. You literally will pay an insurance premium monthly, till you die. But we don’t look at it like it’s a debt paid to an insurance company that will do all it possibly can never spend it on your care. We are working on a non -insurance solution. The day HSAs no longer require an insurance policy, it all will change. finance.yahoo.com/sectors/health…

@darrenrovell Love how zohron is going after fifa for ticket prices that aren’t even in his state (not to mention a luxury good) yet no issue with price gouging transportation (a necessity) that is running through the heart of the city he actually has jurisdiction over

Today, I am introducing a 1-year moratorium on data centers in Baltimore.   Allowing this technology to come to our city without understanding the environmental impacts on our air and water would be a slap in the face of all Baltimoreans. Our partners in Annapolis have done good work to establish guard rails against data centers, but the regulatory landscape remains uncertain.   Our city’s history of racist housing policy has caused lasting harm in majority Black neighborhoods. We will not allow our neighbors to be a sacrificial lamb for data centers. I am grateful to my colleagues and community partners for joining me in protecting Baltimore.

Ravens decision makers have been in Florida meeting with owner Steve Bisciotti. They'll exit the meetings with a game-changing pass rusher. The Ravens haven't traded a first-round pick for a veteran player in team history. Until this deal for Maxx Crosby.

@melanated_lady @BAL_Fields @nypost I wish nothing but the best for the city and unlike many in the burbs I go in whenever i can, but the facts are the facts. The entire inner harbor is dead. I am glad murder rates are down, but we need to also build back what drives money into the city

@nypost Ooo. Next do the drastic decrease in murders and 50-year low homicide rate he has overseen as Mayor. Think that’s far more important than the completely normal dollar figure his office has spent on food since 2022 ya absolute hacks.
