@MikeReiss Mike, hello from Shanghai. I never got the reason on why they risk having to cut Onwenu if he didn’t accept the re-structure for two reasons: o line was quite inconsistent and AVT has health concerns. Second, Mike was ranked high on PFF; couldn’t he land a 14-15 mil AAV contract?

Patriots transaction: Undrafted DT Travis Shaw (North Carolina/Texas) has been waived. Shaw (6-5, 334) was signed May 20 and was a longshot to earn a roster spot behind Milton Williams, Christian Barmore, Cory Durden, Leonard Taylor III, Joshua Farmer, Eric Gregory and Co.

Question (via @shaepeppler on @FirstTake): Since we last saw the Patriots in the Super Bowl, it’s been a bit of a tumultuous offseason for your head coach, Mike Vrabel. What’s it been like navigating that in the offseason?   Robert Kraft: “We’re privileged to have Mike as our head coach. No one is infallible. What’s great about Mike is he has great intellectual knowledge about football – all the technical skills - [and] he relates to the players beautifully. He’s someone I have a strong belief and faith in. I hope he’s going to be our head coach for many years to come.”

A.J. Brown lands at No. 9 in WR rankings. "He changes the coverages people play, everything will be rolled his way, and it will lighten the box for Josh [McDaniels] to really get the run game going," one NFL coordinator said.

Drake Maye at No. 8. The ranking is tied, in part, to this being just Maye’s third season. “He’s really talented, but I need to see more,” a veteran NFC defensive coach said. “Other quarterbacks on this list have proven it over time and he’s got to keep doing it.”
