First time I campaigned for anyone for President was in 2010 when, together with my family, we worked so hard for P-Noy to be elected. We genuinely believed in P-Noy’s anti-corruption campaign. Hindi dapat tayo mahirap kung wala lang sanang corrupt! I also only had the privilege of meeting him once in Malacanang, when the La Salle Debate Society was awarded as one of the Ten Accomplished Youth Organizations, (TAYO) which I received on behalf of the organization as the Convenor of the 32nd World Universities Debating Championships (WUDC) in 2012. De La Salle Worlds was the last time that the Philippines hosted the world’s biggest debate championships, which, per the official estimates of the Department of Tourism, contributed around 400 million to the Philippine economy. I am proud to say that it is still considered by the World Debating Community as one of the best WUDC ever organized throughout its history. We love you, P-Noy. Regardless of your imperfections, no one can doubt your sincerity in serving the nation. You are the best President this country ever had. From zero classroom backlogs, to the biggest transportation infrastructures like Cebu Airport, Skyway Stage 3, approval of the subways, and extension of MRT and LRT. From the revision of our educational curriculum (K-12) to make us globally competitive, to striking peace with the Moros and recognizing their autonomy as a people. From the best economic growth our country has ever seen for 6 consecutive years, to particular focus to the poor through programs like 4Ps/Conditional Cash Transfers. From achieving an Investment Grade Status for the Philippines, to securing the Arbitral Award in the West Philippine Sea. From AFP modernization and acquisition of fighter jets to ensure that our skies our again protected, to making sure that all police officers will be equipped with service pistols. These are just some of your achievements, because the biggest one is allowing us Filipinos to believe that we can still do it as a nation.
