Renaming the USNS Harvey Milk does nothing to strengthen our military. Milk was not only a trailblazer for LGBTQ rights, but also a dedicated servicemember who was shamefully discharged. Doing this during Pride Month is cruel and shows that Sec. Hegseth is more interested in culture wars than our readiness for war.

The proposed federal cuts to the 988 hotline are unconscionable. #MentalHealth issues have risen for nearly every group over the past several decades – with certain groups, like #LGBTQ+ youth, suffering high rates of depression.  We need more investment in mental health care, not less. #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth

We need better. We need more senators like Catherine Blakespear who are willing to propose new ideas and stand strong against the status quo. And we can’t stop advocating – not just for more investment, but for better investment from every level of government.

Victims are still in the water. The Blackhawk crew is still strapped into the cockpit. Families are mourning. And Trump is blaming DEI, suggesting our pilots and air traffic controllers don't deserve their jobs. We need compassion and leadership— Our President showed none.

Despicable. As families grieve, Trump should be leading, not lying. We put safety first, drove down close calls, grew Air Traffic Control, and had zero commercial airline crash fatalities out of millions of flights on our watch. President Trump now oversees the military and the FAA. One of his first acts was to fire and suspend some of the key personnel who helped keep our skies safe. Time for the President to show actual leadership and explain what he will do to prevent this from happening again.
