As I have long argued, Impeachment is the principal method of punishing errant presidents. Twice Congress attempted to do just that to President Trump, to punish him for official acts that were allegedly corrupt or profoundly misguided.
Both attempts failed in the Senate.
It is my position regarding the events of January 6, 2021, that to go forward to try criminally a president who has been legislatively exonerated represents, effectively, double jeopardy. Trump should be immune to criminal prosecution for the same acts for which he has been acquitted by the Senate.
When I first broached this thesis, many scoffed. Now, after SCOTUS pondering, no one is scornful or dismissive. Trump has a decent shot at being deemed immune from many of the acts now criminally charged.

@ScooterMagruder Are there any real need for human refs on courts or fields anymore. It should all be done up in the booth with the aid of electronic relays. What would they miss that a human on court Ref wouldn't?

Also: Mara has never been cheap. He pays up for coordinators. Took a ton of dead cap after trading OBJ.

@DrewSav I actually don't doubt that he has tried. Despite appearances, he is not as dumb as he looks and knows it isn't helping him. But like an adict who needs his fix, he can't help but come back to it despite the harm it's doing him.

If the plan is to stick with Jones and Lock then 2024 will most likely be another throw away season.
If that’s the case I would lean towards trading back and stock pilling picks.
The drawback is missing out on a stud WR but fortunately this class is loaded with them.

@AJKayWriter She should just be lucky she goes to a bank that still issues debit cards. B.O.A. used covid as an excuse to stop issuing them at branches altogether. If you lose yours and are waiting for a new one in the mail they just say use your phone.

How is this a shock to anyone? This was the norm pre-viral-panic (when immunocompromised people also existed, as did various community-acquired, opportunistic pathogens.)
No one disputed that walking into a bank with a mask on presented a security risk (and usually triggered a silent alarm.)
Banks need to be able to clearly identify customers — even those who feel they are at “high-risk”
It’s should be pretty damn clear to everyone at this point that virus avoidance will never be the organizing principle of a flourishing — or even minimally functional — society.
A return to sanity is welcome and WAY overdue.

My bf recently walked into his bank to get a new debit card but they refused to serve him until he took his mask off. Even after he said he was immunocompromised and deposited $ to his account in the drive-through AND got his face recorded on the camera outside — they still refused to bring a card out to him and said he’d have to come in himself (sans mask). This makes ZERO sense. At this point I think most of society really just despises disabled people.

BREAKING: Judge Mechan seems to imply that President Trump may have tried to intimidate a juror in the courtroom just now. Judge Merchan: "Mr. Blanche while the juror was at the podium about 12 feet from your client, your client was audibly muttering something. I don't know exactly what he was uttering. It was audible and he was gesturing and it was in the direction of the juror. I wont tolerate that. I will not have any jurors intimidated in this courtroom. I want to make that crystal clear. @twentee7 Anything we do will be wait and see. About the only thing they could do that would turn me off to Schoen would be a massive trade up to 4 with AZ and they select McCarthy because Maye and Daniels are gone. That would be tough to swallow. Maybe not 26 tough but in the ballpark.

There are obviously a lot of ways to get better- and I try not to have too strong of a preference, but I've settled onto what I'm rooting for:
I want Minnesota to trade up which either:
A) facilitates the Giants getting a top WR
B) sees the Giants on the other end of the trade
