@Naplaymaker @Blissart7 @GeronimoMorgans they've got to back to back euros finals and lost twice in very close games , also got to a world cup semi final , now they also have a world class manager to instead of southgate , the talent is there for sure but there also overhyped a bit , they have alot of depth to

@Blissart7 @Naplaymaker @GeronimoMorgans You have no clue. No 'individual brilliance' from likes of Yamal and Pedri? Spain have far better depth in defence than England and most likely Joan Garcia, Cubarsi, Zubimendi, Fermin wont start.

@Naplaymaker @GeronimoMorgans Overhyped yes, but Spain definitely don’t have better talents than England. Remove spains starting 11 and you are stuck with mids. Spain is strong because of the style they play. You don’t see individual brilliance in Spain because their game doesn’t revolve around anybody.

@henrywinter “If you play for Arsenal you can’t be world class” Saka has been englands stand out the last few seasons. You’re as bad as Carragher and Neville ffs. Hilarious. Just showing yourself as a little bitter hate filled man. Rice and Saka are world class. Sorry that hurts.

England are not in the class of France, Argentina or Spain. But they do have some exceptional talent. Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane are world class. So is John Stones - at his best. Trent Alexander-Arnold is world class - in possession. Declan Rice is having the season of his life. There are more reasons to be positive going into this tournament than negative. But England have to be bold and play to their strengths.  Imagine if England were bold and, if all fit, went into the World Cup… Pickford; Alexander-Arnold, Stones, Guehi, O’Reilly; Anderson, Rice; Saka, Bellingham, Gordon; Kane.  Stones would have some covering to do of Alexander-Arnold when he raced upfield. Bellingham gets heavily scrutinised but he’s a big-game player, a winner and used to pressure at Real Madrid. He has to start. England also have an exceptional head coach in Thomas Tuchel who can make the right changes at the right time. England have a chance of progressing to the quarter-finals of the World Cup and then anything’s possible. But only if they are bold. Not gung-ho. But bold. Risk/reward. #ENG

@henrywinter The French squad is better than Qatar and they should have won it in 2022. Attacking options are ridiculous. Defence is the soft spot. Can England win it? Of course they can. But will they? England can beat anyone on their day but it requires three big consecutive scalps. 🤔

No midfield itw is outclassing a midfield led by Rodri & Pedri. All this ‘Portugal midfield-trio’ hype, only for that same trio to get bitched by Zubimendi–Merino–Pedri in the UNL final and it took a superhuman Nuno Mendes performance just to drag Portugal to penalties

@JDS2882 @Rajdeep_C_18 Tbf the main difference btw pedri and fdj strictly on the basis of impact on the game is pedri elevates the shit out of his team overall , frenkie also does it but the impact of pedri on the attacking front with a fdj or rodri by his side is much greater than fdj with pedri/grav

@tbhNalin10 @Rajdeep_C_18 Spain with a fit Rodri have best midfield most likely as he and Pedri should not be matched but the narratives on Pedri go far over the top. To be fair not from you here.

@tbhNalin10 @Rajdeep_C_18 The convo is about Rodri/Pedri and also Pedri in Spain midfield as if untouchable. Frenkie was best midfielder on park by far when they met.

@BouafifNour Raphinha make a lot of nonsense sprints also that he plays up to crowd with. Too many times he chases lost causes that wont get anywhere near.. teams play round him and folk cheer the effort. Not only does it tire him it leaves team structure exposed at times.

I don't think Raphinha's constant injuries this season is just a fluke, If you look at Barcelona’s physical numbers, specifically the number of sprints, Raphinha leads the team with 116 sprints. What makes this even more striking is that he’s only played 544 minutes, and 9 players from the team have played more minutes than him, but he still tops the sprint chart. That alone shows how extreme his workload is. And even without the stats, anyone watching Raphinha can tell how much physical effort he puts in under Flick. He’s constantly making runs, whether it’s pressing without the ball or attacking space when we have it. However, that intensity likely comes at a cost. I think it’s one of the reasons behind the injuries he’s been picking up. While this work rate is incredibly valuable and even essential in Flick’s system, i have some concerns about it's sustainability, especially as he gets older.
