One thing that confused me in The Boys finale: The show keeps establishing that the sea creatures turned on Deep because of the pipeline spill 3-15 Xander says it, the dying fish mention it Then Deep lands in the water and suddenly they’re all yelling “Her name was Ambrosius!” How would random sea creatures even know who Ambrosius was or that Deep killed her? Feels like the reason they hated him changed halfway through.

A better story would have been that Butcher’s wife cheated on him and his entire pursuit of revenge was based on his false notion that she was the victim of Homelander.
