School uniform bought ✔ Stationery packed ✔ Name tags sewn into everything ✔ All that’s left to do is decide how you’re going to get there! Pupils from WOW schools have been telling us why they are choosing to walk, wheel, cycle and scoot #BackToSchool this year.

#STRATEGY | Pavement car parking is dangerous, anti-social and a blight on our city. Now the council will consider a new plan designed to tackle the problem. This will protect pedestrians and ensure our city remains accessible for all.

@JDoM75 @arrivanorthwest There’s been roadworks on Derby Lane and Rathbone which will probably hold things up a bit! Did earlier in the week at least!

If someone with a chronic illness pushes through their symptoms for you please understand how much they are sacrificing on their part. Pushing through our symptoms when our body is begging for rest most likely will always end up with us in a flare. We push through for the ones we love, for those important milestones in life we don’t want to miss. We sacrifice to see others smile while our bodies are screaming at us to slow down. We know exactly what we are doing when we ignore our bodies warning signs, but we do it for others. Chronic illness has robbed us of so much that on certain days we simply won’t allow it to rob us anymore. If someone with a chronic illness is fighting through their symptoms for you, make sure you thank them and be there for them when they need you most.
