What I would do: (1) Fire Flus today. (2) Let Brown keep cooking with Caleb. Let Hightower make the challenges and MAYBE even call timeouts. (3) Interview everyone in Jan. Hire Brown as next head coach. He’s the real deal, and the QB loves him. (4) Pair him with big ticket DC.

Rarely can you point to one specific thing as the downfall of an NFL team. Matt Eberflus is the sole reason the #Bears aren’t in playoff contention right now. The roster is good enough. He was not. He’ll catch on somewhere as a DC. But head coaching is not for him.

It was the play *before* the Hail Mary loss that was ugly for the Bears. Same thing here. They had time to get more yards before the field goal. They were so sure a 46 yard FG would be good. It wasn’t. I didn’t even blink when Green Bay blocked it.

That’s the most Chicago Bears way to lose. Caleb did everything right. Thomas Brown’s playcalling was great. And now we have to see the replay of that blocked kick until the end of eternity. Classic Chicago Bears moment.
