Consider the potential consequences for trade unions - if multiple days of picketing during an industrial dispute can be presented as cumulative disruption, then lawful strike action could become another area vulnerable to heavy-handed intervention.

BREAKING - @zarahsultana exercises Parliamentary Privilege to expose the unjust nature of the Filton 24 re-trial. UK press has been court ordered not to publish these details. “If convicted, they and 18 others will be sentenced as terrorists, but the jury will not be told that”

Why isn’t a newspaper south of the border willing to spell out what the overwhelming majority of us want?

Two headlines less than 24 hours apart. Second‑worst in the developed world for avoidable deaths because of underinvestment and bad spending decisions. Yet private companies providing NHS services walked away with £1.6bn in profit. How has this been allowed to happen?

All is not as it seems with the Filton re-trial. The UK press have a court order not to report on this: youtu.be/rkzxhQU6QIM Jurors deserve to hear the whole truth.

Tonight MPs will vote on the govt's latest attempt to crack down on the right to protest - this time through restricting recurrent protests. Myself and fellow Green MPs will be voting against these plans; peaceful protest is a cornerstone of our democracy and must be defended.

Zarah Sultana MP invokes parliamentary privilege to inform the British public about reporting by The Grayzone on the corrupt trial of six Palestine Action activists Sultana stated that if convicted, the defendants "will be sentenced as terrorists, but the jury will not be told that” “They could convict them on criminal damage charges with no idea that terrorism sentences will follow," she continued. "Not a single terrorism charge has been brought forward. The proscription has been ruled unlawful and the defendants themselves have been banned from telling the jury that they acted to stop genocide under threat of contempt charges”

I’ve just voted against another clampdown on the right to peaceful protest. Like the ban on Palestine Action - which I also voted against - this attack targets the Palestine solidarity movement. But it threatens everyone’s rights. I’ll keep fighting to defend our hard-won freedoms.
