@CedarAndHoney @ForMYCanada @AaronGunn So now we're into typical identity LPC name calling in discussing facts. Quoted your initial tweet but moving on yes there were some sites suggesting end of fossil fuels but just as many saying opposite & wasn't just war but failure of 'greenie agenda' b/f as seen in Germany etc.

@JFFITZPATRICK @ForMYCanada @AaronGunn No you pillar, it was YOUR error & your lack of knowledge about the 2022 European market in context with validity of Canada investing billions in building a pipeline that may be shut off in 5 years. Hardly my fault you’re low-information— the sure sign of a Poilievre voter.

It’s frankly embarrassing, and an indictment of those that lead us, that gas prices in Canada have spiked to over $2 per litre because of a conflict on the other side of the world. We have, right here in Canada, the fourth largest oil reserves on the planet. Pipelines should have been built 10 years ago. Refineries should have been built 10 years ago. We should have an energy policy that puts Canada, and Canadians, first. This is ridiculous.

@myabradshaw78 @CTVNews Big difference is CPC think big & LPC talk big being the large difference. IE the only action plan of Carney was to reflect CPC ideas of cancelling carbon tax, capital gains tax increase, income tax reduction, etc. Issue is LPC does things half assed such as "carbon tax" fiasco!

@CTVNews Conservatives do but with responsibility. Liberals still won’t say where the money is coming from or any spending. Still waiting on The Green Slush fund details, infrastructure money. Liberals are getting more irresponsible with taxpayer money.

@CedarAndHoney @ForMYCanada @AaronGunn Your original post stated 'wasn't it Canada that dictated EU green policies' & now you're suggesting different, but typical. As for the balance of your banal bromide, it proves Sowell's point that lefties deflect with name calling when unable to factually respond, n'est pas!

@JFFITZPATRICK @ForMYCanada @AaronGunn IT WAS NOT Canada who was dictating that the Euros switch to greener energy, that was THEIR own agenda. I’m talking solely about the EU market. Who in 2022 had a plan to phase out oil consumption. (Before Poilievre’s mentor Trump got in power & helped Putin get stronger).

@hightide1992 @CathySt35873400 @FoxNews Thomas Sowell defines lefties succintly in they never engage in dialogue only carry on with deflection & talking points trying to label those with facts can't explain. Facts as Waltz, who was on ticket for VP of USA now not running for govenor again after disclosure of fraud?

@swAwithBobbi @myabradshaw78 Operative word is "some" transparency! Remembering Trudeaus vitriolic rants about Harper's transparency & how that would change with his gov? Well change it but not in a good way as we saw his all ethics violations & now its happening with Carney with investments & trade MoUs!

@myabradshaw78 And why do we have to find out what’s holding up USA trade… from the USA? Could our own government stop treating us like dumb children for half a second? Some transparency at all would be nice.

Mark Carney is purposely withholding vital information about what he signed with China. Is it that bad for Canada and so good for Brookfield that Canadians can’t know what’s happening??

@CedarAndHoney @ForMYCanada @AaronGunn Canada dictating; how so, when & by whom? Trudeau signed onto "Greenie" agenda suggesting his carbon taxes & increased environmental regulations would do trick but never close to Paris accord levels despite continue LPC rhetoric. Attempts like "Green Slush fund" have done what?

@JFFITZPATRICK @ForMYCanada @AaronGunn Wasn’t Canada dictating European plans for green tech. Before Putin invaded and the shitstain took over the White House the EU was shunning oil & were moving full speed ahead into greener tech. Why would 🇨🇦 invest so much in uncertainty? War changed this. Oil is now king.

@CedarAndHoney @JFFITZPATRICK @ForMYCanada @AaronGunn Even if they went completely electric for energy, there’s no chance Germany is going to “move away from oil.” Their pharmaceutical industry would never allow it. Then add on top of that their transport, agricultural, & clothing industries.

@CedarAndHoney @ForMYCanada @AaronGunn Facts matter as East pipeline was ready to go 2015 & could've been in place 2020 & available 2022 when Ukraine war started except Mr 'budgets balance themselves' felt he'd put Canada in further debt with 'green' agenda that did nothing except enrich faithfull, "green slush fund".

@JFFITZPATRICK @ForMYCanada @AaronGunn Non-partisan analysts couldn’t guess the future post 2022. Could you? You’d have yelled til you were blue if the Trudeau govmt invested $10B & 5+ years building a pipeline in 2022 to get our oil to Germany if just 5 years later they moved away from oil (as they were meant to).

@CedarAndHoney @ForMYCanada @AaronGunn Yes tell how these 'green investments' have worked out. Seems 'bright light' prorogued parliament to hide having to provide these so called "green slush fund" documents even though majority of Parliament MPs voted to see but LPC once again hiding truth from Cdns, comments!!

@CedarAndHoney @ForMYCanada @AaronGunn 'Bright light' also cancelled pipelines such as Energy East to get O&G to refineries in QC & NB, instead we import 'clean' O&G from Saudi's etc paying premium. Yes he cancelled TMX then took it on to finish over 10 yrs at 3x cost. It only took 10 yrs for Cdns to wake up to idiocy

@ThomasWatsonCD @MarcLevesqueEco Yes NEP by another disasterous Trudeau which created the greatest division in Canada. Provinces like AB, QC, NF, etc took offence to PETs encroachment on Provincial jurisdiction. Great thing it was cancelled as part of Meech Lake which PET again sabatoged Mulroney's unification.

@ForMYCanada @AaronGunn Yes, supply & demand oil prices like oil imported to Eastern Canada due to incompetent LPC cancelled Energy East etc which would have increased Canada's supply to us & world, n'est pas? No to mention Cdn royalties increase & used to offset costs. LPC talking points aren't facts!

⚠️Aaron Gunn doing Poilievre’s dirty work: misleading. Canada is the 4th-largest oil producer in the world and exports millions of barrels a day. Gas prices still follow the global price of oil. Canada doesn't control setting prices. Wars in the Middle East affect Texas, Norway, and Canada alike. That’s how global commodities work.

@CedarAndHoney @ForMYCanada @AaronGunn So genious, is price of O&G refective of supply & demand, do we import oil from other countries b/c LPC wouldn't build Energy East pipeline etc? Would this have increased supply to not only Canada but world? Yes FACTS matter not LPC talking points but that's what sycophants do!

@ForMYCanada @AaronGunn MAGA Conservatives need to be pinned to a wall each time they lie and say stupid zero-knowledge shit to their base. Ignorant opinions aren’t facts. How they expect to be given responsibility for a wartime country while displaying this vulgar level of stupidity is extraordinary.

@KatherineSnill @Ditzy49 @PierrePoilievre Seriously, its his job to hold gov to account something LPC don't like. Remember Pierre et al voted on bill C5 so LPC could get large projects at speeds never seen before in June 2025 & hows that worked out...it hasn't! LPC are about talking points not results its LPC in the way!

@Victoria59L @ESPESP We've seen investment leave & continue to leave for capital investment, no major energy projects in works despite promise of doing at speeds not seen before, GDP per capita lowest in G7, happiness index from 2015 at 5 to 28th now. Typical LPC trying to deflect their incompetence.

How about we focus on reality. 1) We’re the only G7 country with the highest cost of food 2) The only counrty who hasn’t cut gas taxes in crisis 3) The only country that holds the highest household debt-to-income ratio in the G7 4) And despite Canada being a global energy powerhouse, ranking as the 4th-largest oil producer and 5th-largest natural gas producer in the world we IMPORT 700,000 gallons of crude oil PER DAY to supply refineries in Canada. 5) Food bank usage in Canada reached a record high of nearly 2.2 million visits per month 6) In Canada today the average age to buy a 1st home is 40. It used to be closer to 20 SO YOU SEE ~ WE DO NOT NEED A HIGH SPEED TRAIN. WE NEED TO FOCUS ON FIXING WHAT IS BROKEN BY LIBERALS.
