What is an acceptable pace at your home or most played course? Not what you want to play or necessarily their POP limit, but what is an acceptable pace to you?

Multiple LIV Golf players have told me they do not expect the Team Championship in Michigan to go ahead, and nobody within the league has been able to confirm whether it will be played. Martin Kaymer told Ben Parsons of Today’s Golfer that’s there’s just a 5% chance they will complete the final event of the season. Story in quoted tweet.
Ben Parsons@_benparsons

LIV Golf's season finale in Michigan is now "highly likely" to be cancelled. I spoke with Martin Kaymer, who believes the $40 million event has a "five percent chance" of taking place as scheduled after talks on Tuesday. Full story @TheTodaysGolfer: todays-golfer.com/news-and-event…

I heard about this some time ago & was tipped off that it might be announced after Birkdale. @asiantourgolf 100% has to do what it feels is right for them. But like I told AT officials, it’s short term like the Aussie Open deal (thru 2029) - but what happens after? What’s the status of the @DPWorldTour “strategic alliance?” It’s all “strategic” by the @PGATOUR - it’s certainly not because they care about growing global golf & they can pull the plug when convenient - and they will. 🤷🏽‍♂️

A New Chapter for Global Golf 🌎⛳ The Asian Tour,@DPWorldTour & @PGATOUR have announced a partnership through at least 2029, creating playing opportunities and pathways for leading Asian Tour members to earn DP World Tour status from 2027. Read more on asiantour.com/blog/asian-tou…

@djbigblack85 @asiantourgolf Not necessarily. LIV knew about this - so no surprise. They’re cooking up stuff. TBD if it comes off. I thought PIF funding of AT/IS was secured but it was not. So they had to prioritize survival. Trust me, I get it. There’s no loyalty in golf/business.

Again, you know the game - note who propagates the accusation story without the follow up of the actual investigation. Narrative creation. “If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles.” - Sun Tzu #ArtOfWar

🚨🚔⛳️ #NEW — According to a @nypost exclusive report, The San Diego County Sheriff’s office has confirmed that they investigated the alleged “nonconsensual, inappropriate contact” surrounding Phil Mickelson and a female employee at The Farms GC in Rancho Santa Fe, California. In statement, the Sheriff’s office told The California Post that it “made attempts to locate any evidence to support the potential allegation of a sexual assault” but said “at this time, we have not located any evidence to show an assault has occurred.” “The Sheriff's Office would absolutely investigate further if provided additional evidence or information. We encourage anyone with information regarding an incident such as this to reach out to the Sheriff's Office.” The allegations first came to light today as part of a @GolfDigest investigation, citing sources which revealed Mickelson was no longer a member at The Farms GC as a result of the alleged misconduct. The report says the 6-time major winner was pulled from the course in the middle of his round and told to vacate the premises after being confronted about the incident. (Via: @nypost)

So Phil came on to a female at a golf club? It's juicy gossip but basically a non-story, imho; we move on. I assume the 'family health matter' that's allegedly kept him off the course for most of 2026 is still valid?

Congrats to Tyrrell Hatton on his 2nd @livgolf_league 🏆 & @LegionXIIIgc repeats in 🇪🇸! Tyrrell should move to about #20 in OWGR, pending other results. Joaco gets @TheOpen exemption which means the Top 5 in the #LIVGolf standings are ALL going to Birkdale! As it should be. ✅

One note on MLB's proposed 2027 salary cap of $245 million: That would include the roughly $23 million each team would pay in player benefits, so the payroll limit would be $222 million.

Vitello without quite saying it this bluntly is pretty clear that Eldridge mostly will come off the bench with Devers the primary 1B and Schmitt the team’s most productive hitter all year. He will made some starts here and there, but most of his ABs will be pinch hitting spots.

I think most expected this to happen quickly now. Will be interesting to see where Jon decides to tee it up 1st on the @DPWorldTour. My guess is the @omegaEUmasters or @IrishOpen_ at Trump Doonbeg in September. Slight chance he squeezes in the @ScottishOpen.

Jon Rahm announces he has reached an agreement with the DP World Tour. Both sides made concessions, per Rahm. A deal has been made. Expect to see Rahm out on the DP World Tour this season.

Flushing It@flushingitgolf

There’s a lot of speculation about what might happen with the players if LIV Golf were to fold. Thomas Pieters of 4 Aces GC was asked about it on the latest episode of Dan on Golf: “I’m definitely never going back to the PGA Tour. I’ve never liked that life. And that’s not me having a go at the PGA Tour, it’s not for me. “I tried it and I just wasn’t happy there. If it (LIV) goes away, I’ll probably try and play some on the European Tour or I don’t know. I really don’t know. “I’m not fussed about it at this point because I feel like I still have a duty to focus on these next six, seven tournaments on LIV and then we’ll see. They’re obviously trying to get it together next year. We’ll see.” He was then asked about speculation that players hadn’t been paid ahead of LIV Golf Mexico City: “We got paid. We are getting paid. It was a week late. Some got it early, some got it a week late, but I’m not sure these guys check their bank accounts every two seconds.” Then he was asked what LIV Golf are telling the players about the future: “Not much. I think what ever comes out officially from LIV is what we’re getting half a day before it goes out. Scott is telling us that he’s going to a broader market and trying to fund this for next year. I guess it’s a massive challenge. But we just have to wait and see.” And finally he was asked whether he has loyalty to LIV Golf: “We are just guessing right now. But if we’re playing for 5 million next year or I could play on the DP World Tour for 3 million but be close to home that’s something I’d have to look at it when it comes. Possibly there’s guys going. But I think that’s up to Scott and his team to get this thing together and we’ll just have to find out.” There is a scheduled full player meeting tomorrow in DC, so players should have more clarity on what’s going on. @DanOnGolfShow @Daniel_Rapaport @Thomas_Pieters
