One book is built the other way around, and I’m trying to figure out how they do it.
@bet105 — winners welcome, no exceptions. No limits creeping down, no accounts flagged for being profitable.
Everyone gets the same limits. Recreational player or pro — same access, posted
openly. No guessing games.
And they run -105 juice across the board

@Hater_T0t @rob_mcrobberson Your friend is an idiot if it took him that long to realize a game acumen doesn't make him a genius.
English

@rob_mcrobberson A 30 yo friend of mine was like a 2600 in chess. He had a breakdown because he realized chess doesn’t make you smart or superior, it’s literally just a game.
Lots of chess players are smart, but the skills aren’t really transferable. A lot of it is memorization

@Bronc7s @S_CharlesNFL Are you actually retarded? You saw that and believed it was actually me?

Dianna Russini’s husband has finally broken his silence on the recent rumors, saying:
“A lot of people still struggle to accept a strong, independent woman thriving in what’s traditionally been a male-dominated industry. Instead of celebrating her success, they try to tear her down with misinformation and noise. But I see the work she puts in every single day, and I couldn’t be more proud of her. She’s earned everything she has. That’s exactly why we supported leaders like Kamala Harris — because empowering strong women isn’t controversial, it’s necessary.”

English

@Bronc7s @S_CharlesNFL Are you actually retarded? You read that and believed it was actually his statement?
English

@S_CharlesNFL In other words... I'm a bitch and it's ok if my wife gets fucked by other men.
Pathetic
English

@VanjaPoker I find it really funny that Martin annoys everyone at the table, but he consistently does not entertain. He can't just constantly repeat "casino...ROYALE" or "not like dat" and expect people to enjoy that.
English

@FormerIBanker @emmma_camp_ That is how public services work and that is how the subway would function if no one paid a fare (which is what the original question was).
English

@JGPogralski @emmma_camp_ What a long winded way of saying “other people will pay for it”.
English

Pray tell, how is the subway supposed to function if no one pays for it?
average lady@girlcloudnine
Less people are opening the emergency exit to let people into the subway now and I hate it. Do your fucking duty as a new yorker!!!!
English

@MinusAquinas @emmma_camp_ That's not good; those people should've paid. You continue to avoid responding to any correction of your false statements. You want to argue against something that hasn't been said. Also, if you mean you are paying near 2x to subsidize these evaders, you still don't get it.
English

@JGPogralski @emmma_camp_ The MTA lost a billion dollars from fare evasion last year. I’m not going to sweep that under the rug because of someone else’s pipe dreams about everything being “free” for society’s worst people. Those of us who work full time and pay our fare are effectively paying twice.
English

@impostersyndrum @ShadowyZephyr Are you pretending that the post claimed all cultural practices are immune from being called immoral?
English

@ShadowyZephyr Some cultures also draw the line for age of consent below 10 years old. By this logic, you cannot call that barbaric or immoral.
English

people posting this as a roast as if they aren't just proving PETA's point, that everyone draws the line in a different place, with no logic behind it.
you can do this but then don't turn around and call cultures barbaric for eating cats and dogs (which many people do)!
Carnivore Aurelius ©🥩 ☀️🦙@AlpacaAurelius
I draw the line right here. Thanks for asking PETA
English

@KongoUsAmongUs @Bloomser1 He retracted that statement, and I would also point out this isn't a girl. I'd read Lolita: The Story of a Cover Girl instead of posting a photo of a reddit comment.

When the poster for the story about a man raping a child is slightly disturbing 😱

"work of art" and it's the most disgusting poster i have ever come across
English

@frtccktl @emmma_camp_ No, it isn't okay; I never said it was. The original question was "how is the subway supposed to function if no one pays for it?". Learn to read if you want to engage.
English

@MinusAquinas @emmma_camp_ Subway fares do not make up anywhere near the remaining 1/3, hence "barely change". I've also said nothing about supporting farehopping; that accusation is a straw you are grasping for, similar to you pretending it being a PBC precludes the subway from being a public service.
English

@JGPogralski @emmma_camp_ 1/3 is not “barely” changing it. That is insane. The MTA’s annual operating budget is just under $20 Billion. 1/3 of that is over $6 billion. You are grasping at straws to justify terrible behavior of people who are causing a decline in the social fabric. Grow up.
English

Okay, this is ridiculous. It is crazy to see people straight up saying Anthropic is lying about Mythos. Because that directly implies there's an industry-wide conspiracy going on and ALL of these companies are also lying on Anthropic's behalf?
Why on Earth would their competitors - Google and Microsoft in particular - lie about this and not call them out? Instead, they happily join Project Glasswing and go on record, practically, that Mythos is this good and that they're working with Anthropic to put it to use.
You people baffle me sometimes lmao.

Dean W. Ball@deanwball
It’s crazy that some are just straight up in denial about mythos having the capabilities anthropic says it does. Usually the in-denial-about-AI community is able to cloak their views in at least *some* intellectual garb, but this time it’s just, “it’s not real.” Wild. Also sad.
English

@Here4TheFallout @emmma_camp_ The original question I responded to was "How is the subway supposed to function if no one pays?" Most people skipping fares are not net taxpayers, and I haven't said they're correct for that behavior, but not having a fare is absolutely economically feasible.
English

@JGPogralski @emmma_camp_ I sincerely doubt that the people skipping out on their fare are net tax payers. Doesn't make any difference to them who's paying for their free ride as long as it's free.
English

@MinusAquinas @emmma_camp_ The MTA is a public benefit corporation, but calling it a public service is correct in both a legal and an economic sense. Government-derived funding makes up the majority of the MTA's budget (around 2/3)-- removing the fare would barely change that number.
English

@JGPogralski @emmma_camp_ The MTA isn’t a public service. Is a public benefit corporation. It doesn’t turn a profit, but runs like a business. It can’t ignore overhead costs. It has to charge a fare. People who evade fares are losers and parasites who cause erosion of our already downtrodden urban spaces.
English

@Here4TheFallout @emmma_camp_ They are paying for things, via tax dollars. People don't like where their taxes are going and believe that free public transportation would be a better use of those funds. "But that's just me I guess" What a terrible way to express your argument.
English

@JGPogralski @emmma_camp_ I think it makes sense to pay for things. But that's just me I guess.
English

@HighschoolMelo It's verified that he said this and then later retracted it. Lolita: The Story of a Cover Girl discusses this, and has numerous Nabokov scholars that weigh in on a variety of ideas surrounding Lolita and the covers specifically. I found it interesting.
