@ABerzanskis It's a genuine feeling of delight when I open an email from someone saying yes to a review. Not only because my work requires me to commission reviews, but because it's fascinating to learn how my opinion of a project compares to that of someone who knows a lot about the topic!

I appreciate, quite selfishly, the scholars who emerge from behind the "I'm not taking on any new commitments" autoresponder to say yes to reviewing a manuscript.

I have been in my current position for less than two years. This is the first publication that's entirely my own acquisitions work, from initial contact to now. I am grateful for the opportunity at @OUPress to publish smart, literate, provocative books. Here's to many more!

@ABerzanskis I read that recently and was amazed that she ended up enjoying sleeping with snow falling on her through the window. And she always said she didn't need a hat because the dry air didn't feel that cold! Even when it was negative degrees.
