@comeflywithJo I'd recommend looking for comprehensible input in German. Youtube is great for that. And add any words you encounter and don't know to a vocabulary learning app like Anki, Quizlet or Codex4.

The real win with o3-mini is cost. It's under 1/3rd the price of Claude, and only 2x more expensive than DeepSeek R1. IMO, 4o is dead, and Claude is harder than ever to justify.

@aviromanoff btw, you can still use the old gpt4 if you have api access. gpt-4-0314 is the snapshot from march 14th. But these snapshots after 3 months after a new version is released. Hopefully AI progress will be very fast so these things don’t matter much, but right now it’s annoying.

chatGPT4 has been nerfed so hard in the past few days it’s basically unusable feels like openAI has bait and switched me back to GPT3.5. it also runs much faster now (and way less accurately) anyone else noticed this or am i crazy?

@aviromanoff I noticed too, they did the same thing when they first released ChatGPT 3.5. For gpt 3.5 it made sense because they soon released gpt 4, so we had a capapable slow expensive model and a fast less capable cheap model. But now? Not sure…

@OfficialLoganK The whisper API timed out with a two and a half hour audio file. It also outputted swedish and japanese when it should have been English. I used the translate endpoint to fix it. Else I’m very happy with the quality of transcriptions :)
