The Phillies could have started Alan Rangel and his 1.44 minor league ERA tonight. He's literally sitting in the damn bullpen. Instead they went with the "opener" & Taijuan Walker's 10 ERA. Completely unserious team.

Hear me out. It's standing ovation time. This team is struggling. We know they're better than they've shown. I don't believe this is a situation where the team has regressed. The Phillies come home on the 28th. As they're introduced, the fans should show our support for them. I know I'll get flamed for this. But this team is playing hard, has always played hard, and many of the underlying stats suggest they've had bad luck on offense and defense. I still support this team, and so should you. There's too much of a track record to not.

@PainterHOF There’s actually only one problem. Dave Dombrowski. He built an extremely flawed team. He has every year, but it’s worked out better than we could expect the last 4 years. This year, it’s caught up with him.

See this doesn’t bother me. People do not understand what a rebuild is. If they’re middling or worse at the deadline then yes, re-tool and shake it up. You cannot enter a rebuild with this payroll and these superstars

@PhilliesNation They ate the Castellanos money. They have to do it again with Walker. As awful as Castellanos was, and he was awful, he did not guarantee a loss every time he saw the field.

@TheGoodPhight I’d try it. I don’t think it’s as much a prep issue as it is a facing the heat hitters in a lineup thing. Roll him out there to face 5-6-7 in the 2nd inning.

Genuinely curious, what do we think Bohm, Stott, Garcia, Sosa, Alvarado, and maybe Marsh could net the Phillies at the deadline? I feel like it would be more than we think.
