@GlennDOrdway Glenn they don’t play offense. I’ve never seen anything so boring & easily defended. There’s limited to no ball movement, zero movement w/out the ball, no passing inside the 3pt stripe. It must be so easy for opponents to prepare for & defend. There’s nothing to do. Joe must go.

Joe Mazzulla will be named Coach of the Year this upcoming week...It is for the REGULAR season Coach of the Year and he deserves it...But the playoffs are a whole different animal and he deserves a lot of heat for his #2 seed team's early exit

@JustinmTurpin @WEEI The answer to that is yes. Even when they’re winning. They don’t move the ball. They don’t pass inside the 3 pt line. Nobody moves, they don’t know how to play offense. That’s why they lost to the NYK last year & it’s why they lost this year. How easy it must be to defend them.

Did the Celtics rely on jump shots too much this postseason? Payton Pritchard: “I don’t know, we had a 3-1 lead. People didn’t say that when we had a 3-1 lead. We had good looks. If we hit them, than nobody says anything. That’s the end of the story. We’ve just got to make them”

@GlennDOrdway @Accordion617 All that and take good shots for the first time all series. Move the ball & take good shots. This team has a perpetual habit of forgetting that basic concept (need, must do).

With Tatum out, Celtics have no choice but to go back to a deeper rotation they used earlier in the season...Play with high energy and just outrun a Sixers team that relies on only 7 guys...More Pritchard & Scheierman...Pace will dictate the outcome of this one

@BillSimmons Most frustrating is they get away from their winning formula over & over again. Just move the ball, preferably move without the ball & take good shots & they should win. But they continue to take forced shots without any ball movement. Infuriating. They never learn.

Just a different Celtics team. You could see all the signs on Tuesday. No bench points other than PP which is crazy. 1 off rebound. Five forced TOs that’s it. Dumb fouls. Slow it down offense. They threw away what worked all season. Philly getting way better shots too.

The Boston Red Sox fired manager Alex Cora, hitting coach Peter Fatse, bench coach Rámon Vazquez and game-planning coach Jason Varitek, sources tell ESPN. While the Red Sox won today, they are 10-17 and in last in the American League East. Massive change is coming in Boston.

That’s one of the best quarters of Jayson Tatum’s career. Right there. More of that please. Great decisions on both ends. Great stuff.

@BillSimmons They need to adjust the process. Literally every player nominated this year should be in. How about in years when you have an elder eligible like Julius Adams (who deserves it) that 1 current candidate & 1 elder gets in. In years where an elder isn’t a consensus add, 2 guys go in

One of my soapboxes I’ll never be forced off of is that the Patriots Hall of Fame needs a structure change. It starts with inducting two players a year. It doesn’t diminish anybody’s accomplishments to be enshrined alongside someone else. Julian Edelman, Bill Parcells and Adam Vinatieri is a much better HOF class than just Edelman and Parcells. Same goes for this year, where Rob Gronkowski is the likely candidate. But with just one inductee each year (barring special cases), you let Wes Welker, Vinatieri, Mankins, Randy Moss, etc just sit and wait. Plus, deserving candidates like Russ Francis, Larry Eisenhauer, Mosi Tatupu and Julius Adams aren’t around anymore to see themselves inducted.

@_FoxboroForever In hindsight all of them, (Deebo, AJ Brown, McLaurin, DK, Diontae) my hopeful target at the time was Deebo though. Thought they could be so creative with him in McDaniels’ scheme.

15 days till the nfl draft. Patriots drafted N’Keal Harry 1st round (pick 32) 2019 draft. Harry never developed into a reliable weapon for the Patriots. The conversation will always be centered around the receivers they passed on. What receiver from the 2019 class would you have drafted over Harry?

John Henry hears the chants. He responds with “Oh, ‘Sell the team!’” And a smug little laugh, the way all despots do when the people first begin to rise up.

@Savageboston New ownership group. Bloom, Bresbot & the next guy will all be the same without an organizational mindset change. Henry’s not changing. His only check & balance, Larry is sadly long since passed, hence nothing changes -ever until Henry sells. Period. Sad but true.

I’m not sure what it’s gonna take to get Craig Breslow out of Boston and for the ownership to rethink how they manage the Boston Red Sox.

It’s John Hannah’s birthday. My brother Jack’s (RIP) all time favorite player. We used to watch games focused almost entirely on watching a LG annihilate people. Stay to the end and see what he did to HoFer Randy White. The 🐐 of O-linemen.

@jimsoxfan It’s awesome having an AI Bot as a GM and a pathological spin doctor as the team’s presidential mouthpiece. Every time they’ve spoken over the last few years I’ve had trouble keeping my food down.

Breslow Babble™ "Through the first six games, we’ve seen positive regression signals across multiple key indicators — including a rising team xwOBA, improved contact quality variance, and several hitters trending toward their expected slug profiles despite suboptimal outcomes. The Houston series, while not reflective in the win column, showed encouraging sequencing opportunities and near-optimization of run expectancy in early counts. A few marginal adjustments in swing decision matrices should materially impact results. As we shift into the home opener, Fenway’s environmental variables project favorably for offensive normalization. We like where the process is. The wins will follow. Probably."

Today Rob Gronkowski will be named eligible for the Patriots Hall of Fame. We ought to just skip the process and put him in on a voice vote. All those in favor? “AYE.” All those opposed? [silence] Bang. The motion is carried.

@Steve_Perrault Too many ifs Steve. Same old story with the Henry-Bloom-Bresbot Red Sox. Too much reliance on youth & whatever minimal winning traits their team build offers. If this, if that. It’s not going to change until Henry does.

Sox need Roman Anthony to be incredibly good, the rotation to be spectacular, and the defense to be great to have a chance this year. All have been bad. That’s my summary of the 2026 March Sox.

@Section10Pod The team was built lean, lacking veteran depth. It’s a typical 2020-2026 era Red Sox build, built on too many ifs. If all “ifs” come through they win 87 ish games but all “ifs” won’t come through over 162 games so they’re mediocre at best. Not enough MLB veteran talent. Again.
