@ccfc_07 It’s clearly not a “dive” as there is contact from the keeper on the player, however, it’s also not a penalty because the keeper won the ball.

@danohagan @BuntingsWorld But to those guys and their families, getting such an appointment is a big deal so why shouldn’t they be celebrated too? “Stop building up their part”, but without “their part” there would be no game. It’s a prestigious appointment they they’ve earned, let them celebrate it!

@The_Forty_Four This country? It’s dealt with the same way in every country! It’s a clear act of dissent, not a good look at all when kids will copy the actions of players.

Well done Lee, you managed to create something worse than Terry the Terrier spending the whole game doing 6-7 #htafc

@AllisonPal27697 Incredible day for an incredible player and loyal Wednesday legend! As you can see in my picture, I was the 4th Official on the day and it’s undoubtedly the best day in my refereeing career. To be a part of a special day for a very special player was an honour 💙🦉

@ChloeBannan What a man, what a family 💙 @bazzabannan25 needs a statue, the epitome of the words Loyal & Legend! Stuck by the club through thick and thin, the good times and right now the toughest… If there’s one man who can rally the troops it’s Baz! Chloe, you’re an absolute diamond too!

@TheRefereeForum Ok… Stick to happy clapping! Probably not a bad thing you’ve faced discipline yourself if you think this conduct and decision making on the pitch is acceptable 👍🏼

Posts like this really frustrate me 😬 Yes we ALL make mistakes as referees regardless of levels, but when it’s an obvious error like this one, own up to it and you get respect & credibility back! Then we get people like this sticking up for the referees 🤦🏻‍♂️ We have a duty of care

Dan Dawson blaming the ref for a broken leg is wild. The tackle caused the injury — not the colour of the card. It could’ve been a yellow, red, or a chimney. The leg’s still broken. Stop scapegoating refs when the issue is reckless challenges, not officiating.

@TheRefereeForum @AntCanavan The difference would’ve been that the coach won’t have felt the need to bring this to everyone’s attention. Get the rose tinted glasses off, we’re not always right and we get more respect if we own our mistakes and learn from them.
