@LindzRiot Honestly, I’ve gone from sad about it to just indifferent. Like chivalry is as dead as it gets and thus we’re left wondering if we’ll get even the bare minimum.

The progressiveness they boast about is a half-assed measure and I hope that in time they can rectify that by allowing the act of gay marriage.

Gay marriage is still illegal in Israel btw.

Choosing not to allow it is willful opposition. Until someone starts allowing the gays to get married, the act of gay marriage is essentially barred outright or not. Debating semantics is just for optics

However religious courts who are allowed to marry, chose not to. So the ban in any case is not carried out by Israel but by Islamic and Jewish courts independent of the state

Let the gays marry in Israel if it's not banned. If not, the opposite of something being allowed is something being forbidden. Synonym for forbidden? Banned.
