@hauser42 Sanchez is literally the worst defensive catcher in baseball, he turns strikes into balls, he allows passed ball and he is not good at calling pitches William Contreras is widely considered to be the complete opposite of that Pitching coaches can’t change that during a game.

@JK4D7 @Todd_Rosiak Contreras is only part of the equation. He had better control today and used a different pitch mix. Part of it is was his 3rd start. Also the staff changed how he worked. Either due to Jays or what they thought was his best stuff. It’s not one thing.

I'm not working with the same information William Contreras and Aaron Ashby are, and the 1-2 pitch was poorly located, but I'm struggling to see the logic in slowing things down with a changeup after a late swing on a 98-mph sinker away.
