Following Nicholas Brendon’s death at age 54, Sarah Michelle Gellar reacted to the news of her 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' co-star's passing with one of Xander’s memorable lines from the WB series. “‘They’ll never know how tough it is to be the one who isn’t chosen. To live so near to the spotlight, and never step in it. But I know. I see more than anybody realizes, because nobody’s watching me,'” wrote Gellar on Instagram. “I saw you Nicky. I know you are at peace, in that big rocking chair in the sky.” Gellar quoted a Season 7 scene between Xander and Dawn, portrayed by Michelle Trachtenberg, who died at age 39 last February. I’m in the midst of a Buffy rewatch, and this guy really knew how to land a wisecrack. Also handled his emotional and dramatic scenes well. Understand he had a troubled life, but his legacy as an essential part of a great show is secure. Rest In Peace Xander.

William Shatner is 95 today! Bill’s Twilight Zone episode “Nightmare at 20,000 Feet” (1963) remains one of TV’s most iconic moments. Shatner captures sheer terror and unravelling paranoia locked in a metal tube miles high, seeing something no one believes. Just brilliant.
