@Nuni_Sas_Yu If there were any sheets only partly filled, is it possible free spaces could be filled in with names afterwards?

The Alberta Independence Petition sheets have serial numbers, with chain of custody records. The Canvasser had to put their EA Canvasser ID number on each sheet, and signed each sheet they completed. To sign the petition, one must show the required ID to prove identity and residency. Any canvasser who engaged in fraud can be identified and sanctioned. I turned away 75+ people for not having the required ID.
Parksy@PfParks

So if understand this: my leaked voter info could be used by some random person to put my name and fake signature on a pro-separatist petition and I’d never know? Or even if I found out I couldn’t have it removed? Wtf? That’s insane… this makes a mockery of the entire process!

Democracy in Canada is run by gatekeepers. They decide who can campaign and who cannot. They decide who is worthy and who is not. Until we break this, nothing will change.

As an canvasser for @stayfreealberta, I am angry at the actions of @Realcamdavies &The Centurion Project for hijacking the independence movement for their own selfish reasons. Me & 7000 canvasser froze our asses off to collect signatures for a referendum. Then you pull this shit!

Nope records show he only paid $2950 for petition copies....thats 20000 sheets or 140000 signatures if they were all completely filled out... Anything above that is fraudulent...even if they were counted by Elections Alberta... BTW they weren't actually counted...it was a sample of 10% of the signatures that were actually truely verified as per procedure... The truth is coming out..and the numbers dont add up...people are asking questions.... like where did the left over $163k go? How did Unions spend money financing it with union dues, and without being a registered 3rd party... Not that his petition means anything...it was a policy question. Totally non-binding...it infact was free promotion for the Stay Free Alberta petition

Follow. The. Money. Here's something I don't get... Lukaszuk spent $2900 on copies of his petition. Assuming every single one of his 20,000 petition copies was filled entirely... Doesn't that just mean 200,000 signatures? And he said he got 400k? Almost everyone should have some empty sheets, no? I don't get it. Somebody square this circle for me. I look forward to reading this thread.

@JKP_Images @CalgaryDave The was bill 54 and it recieved royal accent on May 15... a full month and half before Lukaszuk filed application for his petition...he was fully aware of the changes, when they came into effect and filed early anyway... Try learning the facts

And let’s be clear about what the Centurion Project actually was. Not a grassroots movement. Not a petition. It was an app where volunteers could “claim” individual voters, survey them on their independence views, and build out recruitment chains. A privately controlled political targeting machine. Parker called it his “10x strategy.” The database powering it had your home address, your registration number, your electoral division. All of it searchable. All of it publicly accessible until a judge shut it down this morning. This isn’t how you build a democracy movement. This is how you build a surveillance operation.

@curlyhairben @CalgaryDave They did not have a unique number on them. It’s possible SFA added these numbers not EA. Why don’t you ask them rather than assuming?

@JKP_Images @CalgaryDave They weren’t numbered? I highly doubt that photocopies are legitimate if each original had a unique number on them, like the ones for the Independence petition had.

Yes and he want to tell people like you that he was cheated...which he was not...it was his choice to file his petition early...he had the information and did not wait... Nice try at deflection as none of that diminishes the fact he only paid for 20000 signature sheets, and you now say that 7 signatures on each sheet... well that makes only 140000 signatures... well shy of the required 277000 that Lukaszuk needed and still shy of the 147000 Stay Free Alberta needs.

Let's play a game. I'm going to circle 10 people in this phone book that I belive are pro independence. Then I'm going to pass it on to you, and you'll do the same. When you're done, pass it on, and ask someone to do the same. By the end of the week we'll have a list of 1000s of people who we think are for Alberta independence. According to Elections Alberta, my game is illegal.

@JKP_Images @Martyupnorth Why is the analogy ridiculous? Why would using publically available list in the form of a paper book be different than using a publically available list in a digital form?

@LukaszukAB Every gesture by the UPC to aid the separatists gives Ottawa all the latitude in the world under the Clarity Act to tell Alberta to piss off. Potential separatists ought to consider that anything other than a clear expression of intent can be ignored by the federal government.
