Not actually Jesse Kelly's ice maker. That would be silly. Ice makers don't tweet like this. Well, maybe Jesse Kelly's would. I'm an enigma. If you're special.

The average American today lives better than John D. Rockefeller did in 1926. That is not an exaggeration. It is a fact. Rockefeller could not fly across the country in five hours. You can for $200. He could not video call his family from another continent. You do it for free. He had no antibiotics, no MRI, no air conditioning in July. He could not carry every book ever written in his pocket. You are reading this on a device that does all of that and more. Americans throw away 30-40% of their food. Not because they are wasteful, but because food is so abundant that waste is affordable. Your car has climate control, navigation, and safety systems that did not exist at any price a century ago. Your home has heating, cooling, refrigeration, and entertainment that emperors could not have imagined. None of this was voted into existence. None of it was redistributed from the rich. It was created by free minds operating in what remains of a free market. Every comfort you enjoy today is the product of a man who thought, invented, produced, and traded voluntarily. This is what the remnants of capitalism still deliver, even while it is being dismantled. Imagine what a fully free society could build.

A reasonable take I heard (from a millennial) is that wokeness happened because millennials looked around and saw that they had no transcendent belief system to guide them and give their lives meaning and so they just turned up the volume on Boomer anti racism because that was on hand. I think that’s right. It doesn’t explain everything but it’s definitely it’s definitely psychology true in an important way.

Decades from now historians, sociologists & linguists will make a list like this as a case study in how, in the early part of the 21st century, the left took liberal tolerance to absurd lengths to the point of illiberalism. (Didn't they have a word for "vagina-haver"?)

Kentanji Brown Jackson wanted to uphold Colorado's law banning therapists from telling their clients the truth about biology. Swap out a couple of the conservatives for two more absolute nutcases like Jackson and I'm not sure the country will ever recover.

Clarence Thomas is a brilliant man and one of the greatest justices of all time. He also needs to retire immediately. He's 77 years old. If Democrats win the midterms and then the presidency, which they very likely could, there's a significant chance they will get to replace him with another Kentanji Brown Jackson. That would be a disaster for the country. We need to get young conservatives on the court right now. Alito, too. He's 76.

I disagree. How has our last conservative addition worked out? Coney Barrett is more like Roberts- just a little too concerned about appearances and legacy for the fight our constitution is in. Alito and Thomas are too priceless to lose, no matter their age. Unless a serious health issue comes up, of course.

🚨 THE EU JUST ISSUED ENERGY LOCKDOWNS AND NOBODY IS CALLING IT WHAT IT IS The European Commission is urging Europeans to work from home, drive less, and fly less because of the Gulf conflict. EU Energy Commissioner Dan Jørgensen says this crisis won't end even if the war ends tomorrow. Read that again. "Even if peace is established tomorrow, we will not return to normal." 💀 This means the EU is permanently screwed. Not temporarily. 💀 No immediate supply shortages yet — but diesel and jet fuel are already under pressure. 💀 Global gas markets facing "increasing constraints." Electricity prices surging. 💀 26 of 27 EU member states are currently under infringement proceedings for failing to implement electricity market rules. 💀 Europe's grid is so outdated it can't even handle the renewables they already built — 120 GW of clean energy projects are at risk of being STRANDED. ⚠️ But here's what EU Energy Commissioner Jørgensen is NOT telling you: The EU had cheap Russian energy. They chose to refuse it. The EU had nuclear. They chose to phase it out. Germany shut down its last nuclear plants in 2023. Seven EU countries still actively BLOCK nuclear alternatives in energy law. They replaced reliable energy with ideology. And now they're out of options. Here's the logic chain: → EU kills Russian gas imports → EU kills nuclear power → EU builds renewables on an outdated grid that can't connect them → Gulf conflict hits — no buffer, no options, no plan → Solution: behavioral control. Tell citizens to drive less, fly less, work from home. Do you understand what that means? They're showing you: "Gulf conflict triggers energy emergency." They're NOT showing you: EU politicians spent years building the most fragile, ideology-driven, unresiliently f*cked energy system in modern history. This isn't a Gulf conflict problem. This is a European political failure dressed up as an act of God. COVID lockdowns told you to stay home. Energy lockdowns are telling you to stay home. Same instruction. Different excuse. Both times — the crisis was real. The cause was manufactured by the same class of people. This is the most predictable energy catastrophe since the 1970s oil embargo — except this time, Europe did it to themselves.

Apparently today has been 'Trans Day of Visibility'. Not to be confused with 'Trans Day of Remembrance', which is part of 'Transgender Awareness Week'. Also not to be mistaken for the 'Trans March of Visibility', which is  part of 'Trans Pride' which is in July. And none of these should be confused with 'Non-Binary People’s Day' on 14 July or 'International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia' which is in May. Oh, or the 'Trans Pride Walk', which is in August. All of the above are of course distinct from 'LGBT History Month' which is in February.  So please make sure we all spend the rest of today talking about trans people, because they just don't get enough attention. 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈 (H/t @wokeandwoofing)

This perfectly captures the parasite's delusion: that wealth is static loot to be seized and redistributed. Here's what actually happens when you "repossess all their stuff": The producers will rebuild. They'll create new wealth because that's what they do. They identify opportunities, solve problems, innovate, build businesses, and generate value. Their wealth came from their minds, not magic. The looters will consume what they stole at light speed and wind up with nothing. Because they never learned to produce. They only know how to take. Look at every socialist revolution in history: seize the factories, the farms, the businesses. Within years, everything collapses. The factories stop producing. The farms stop yielding. The wealth evaporates. Venezuela. Cuba. Soviet Union. Zimbabwe. The pattern is identical. Why? Because wealth isn't stuff sitting in a vault. Wealth is the ongoing process of human intelligence applied to production. Confiscate a factory and you get the building. You don't get the knowledge, vision, and competence that made it productive. The "rich" you want to loot aren't dragons hoarding gold. They're producers creating value. Rob them and you rob everyone, including yourself. You'll be left with ruins and still blame capitalism.

What “conversion therapy” used to mean was electroshocking someone until they’re not gay anymore. What they call “conversion therapy” today is anything that isn’t immediately “affirming” a child who says they’re the opposite sex. If a child claims to be trans and you try to get them therapy, or God forbid question that and try to explore other causes, that is now considered “conversion therapy”. Laws prohibiting this are nothing but a one-way ticket to medicalizing children. They deliberately call it “LGBTQ” (letters which have absolutely nothing in common, and are often in direct conflict with one another) to hide behind the past medical abuses towards homosexuals. People are sympathetic to that. Forced teaming a completely unrelated issue with it is the only way they could EVER get support for something as abhorrent as “trans kids”. This insanity can’t stand on its own merit. But the gaslighting is no longer working. Getting a gender confused child help and therapy is a GOOD thing and should be the norm. It’s not conversion therapy, it’s called acting like the adult in the situation! There is no greater evil than coercing a child into believing they’re something they’re not, solely because the adult has a particular ideology. Let kids be kids!

A cutting reflection from Cardinal Ratzinger, Good Friday 2005: "Pilate is not utterly evil. He knows that the condemned man is innocent, and he looks for a way to free him. But his heart is divided. And in the end he lets his own position, his own self-interest, prevail over what is right. Nor are the men who are shouting and demanding the death of Jesus utterly evil. Many of them, on the day of Pentecost, will feel "cut to the heart," when Peter will say to them: "Jesus of Nazareth, a man attested to you by God... you crucified and killed by the hands of those outside the law." But at that moment they are caught up in the crowd. They are shouting because everyone else is shouting, and they are shouting the same thing that everyone else is shouting. And in this way, justice is trampled underfoot by weakness, cowardice and fear of the diktat of the ruling mindset. The quiet voice of conscience is drowned out by the cries of the crowd. Evil draws its power from indecision and concern for what other people think."

The single most radicalizing moment of my life was watching Democrats from the balcony of the State of the Union refuse to stand for Iryna Zarutska's mother, seated 15 feet away from me. Now they're tearing down her murals. They never cared about immigrants, it was all a lie.
