@tombos21 @LuomaKimmo I would guess because equities run closer preflop & pot limit its more likely to end up multiway. More multiway = damaged redline?

Why do most players have a higher blue line (chips won at showdown) than red line (chips won without showdown)? If you ask most pros they'll BS some answer about rake or population being too passive. But the answer is much simpler. It's structural, nothing to do with strategy really. It's an inherent property of the game itself. Specifically, in multiway pots, chips lost by folded players (-red) can later be captured at showdown by another player (+blue). For example, BTN opens, SB folds (-red), and BB calls, BTN can still win SB’s folded chips at showdown (+blue). Red line losses slowly leak into blue line gains via folded blinds and other multiway pots where someone folds but it goes to showdown. However, the opposite transfer from blue to red is impossible. Your blue line losses can never be added to someone's redline. So we get this one-way valve effect from from red to blue. If you add up everyone's blue lines and red lines at your table (or player pool), you'll find that blue >= red.

@CoinPoker_OFF Meanwhile, GGPoker is blocking miners. We are once again infested with bots in PLO5 and PLO6 from Austria, Russia, and Slovenia. It seems easy to choose a site and a side.

Every operator faces challenges with bots on the platform, and the support of our community is essential in identifying and combating them. Thank you for that! This week, $156,446 is being refunded to players following the ban of 98 bot accounts and the confiscation of their balances over the past months. The funds get redistributed to players affected by this activity. We sincerely thank the players who supported our security efforts through reports and feedback. Community involvement is a crucial part of maintaining a secure plattform. We will continue to take action against unfair play, with the clear goal of preserving a fair and transparent environment for all players and making it close to impossible to run a bot on our plattform by the end of Q2 2026. Thank you for your trust and continued support.

The Entropic Brain theory is wild. It suggests that the way we actually perceive reality looks like a psychedelic trip, and that we "hallucinate" normalcy. Your brain is meat trapped in a dark skull that only interacts with the world via electrical signals. Those signals are noisy and imperfect. To make sense of the chaos, your mind makes predictions about what the signals mean, and hallucinates the world around you. Infants are basically tripping balls 24/7. Babies don't have strong priors about physical reality yet, so their "prediction engines" aren't very efficient. They experience raw, unfiltered reality; noisy signals with loose interpretations. So they see the world as we might after taking a hero dose of mushrooms. As we get older, we develop strong priors for how the physical world works. Our "prediction engine" gets better at filtering the noise, so we hallucinate a stable, boring world. We see what we expect to see. When you take psychedelics, you disrupt that prediction engine. Suddenly, you are back to tripping on unfiltered reality. You might see a wall breathing. Why? Because the rigid prediction "walls don't move" has failed. Your visual cortex is receiving raw, noisy data, and without the normal filters, it interprets that noise as literal movement. It's a fascinating concept that has changed the way I think about the world.

Isolation raising is a stupid name for raising a limp. Folds to SB who completes, BB "iso raises". But SB is already isolated?! Poker deserves better nomenclature.

Bought action on GG of two players in purple (at less than 1 mark up) and silly me, I thought I was getting a deal. But then they sat out the whole time. Apparently this is a thing people do?

Who remembers the old PokerStars no blind increase 200bb starting stack SNGs? People made a living from others misclick regging and then max tanking every single hand. People ended up openjamming every hand or just closing the SNG. It was the ultimate print, just needed patience

Something I can't stand: BBC and ITV pretending each other don't exist when discussing upcoming Euro 2020 fixtures. I'm sure you do have a highlights show at some godforsaken hour but please just tell me the kickoffs and the channel to watch upcoming games.

Interesting new(ish) MTT from @888poker - $5 MTT but the top prize is an (added?) non cash prize like coaching, VIP experience, year of MTT tickets etc 888poker.com/magazine/888ne… Interesting ICM implications, very top heavy prize potentially
