I told Tucker Carlson @TuckerCarlson exactly what Ukrainians have been discussing in their kitchens for years — and it caused an absolute storm. People are still writing and calling me with words of gratitude. “Normal people are all with you,” Ukrainians keep repeating to me. Of course, public opinions in Ukraine’s information space vary widely. This is especially visible on Ukrainian Facebook, where partisan bots and paid “experts” have long been battling those who still believe the platform matters. Unfortunately, it is not representative of the Ukrainian people at all. A large part of Ukrainian society has no voice in the West. Many in Kyiv have grown comfortable with the normalization of this war — securing grants, stable salaries, political patronage, money-laundering schemes, or building careers on the war. Such people exist in every war. But conscience still matters. And sooner or later, the profiteering from Ukrainian blood must come to an end. Ukraine desperately needs peace, elections, the restoration of democracy and the economy, and real investments — which will only come in peacetime. Most importantly, Ukraine must once again become worthy of its people, so they no longer live in fear and instead choose to return, rebuild their lives, and raise children here.
