Anthony Gordon was desperate to make the move to Liverpool two years ago. It will also be interesting to see whether Liverpool rekindle their interest in a player they were close to signing in the summer of 2024. A long-term injury to Hugo Ekitike may force Liverpool to sign another forward in the next transfer window and Gordon’s ability to play across the front three could hold fresh appeal. He is a boyhood Liverpool supporter and would jump at the chance to return to Merseyside if the opportunity came.

@JMJC01 @Jacgriff177 Firstly not all Protestants could be described as loyalists. At a guess NI support is around 90% Protestant of which you could put about 5-10% in the loyalist category. I would say around 10% Catholic . Most NI supporters would be working class Prods with no time for loyalists.
