In today’s guideline era, catheter-based therapy use for acute PE is increasingly driven by acuity + anatomy + bleeding considerations + local expertise.
And PERT infrastructure is key!

1/ The new 2026 Multisociety Acute PE Guideline recognizes that acute PE care is evolving fast, particularly the use of catheter-based interventions.
