I'm trying to figure out the term for this phenomenon: when there's a regulation (say product safety) that isn't enforced, it creates a perverse incentive where unscrupulous companies ignore it and thereby outcompete law-abiding ones that incur compliance costs. Any hints? 🙏🙏

@InnovationMatt Maybe load the dishwasher while you are at it - without being asked. Repetitive tasks are quite good for writer's block. If you were an adult child at my house over Christmas you'd also be proof reading an article or two.
