@Metra how in 2026 do you no have live updates for your trains? I am on a platform in Arlington Heights and the entire crowd has no idea when trains are coming. Please do better.

Please note that at this time UPNW inbound trains heading to Ogilvie Transportation Center are halted near Barrington due to a mechanical issue on train #628. The duration of this delay is unknown. Metra will provide updates as information becomes available. Please be advise that station PA systems should be broadcasting announcements noting the delay along with updates. We will notify our station engineers for investigation should there be issues with the PA system at the station. We thank you for your patience and understanding.

There is no sugar coating it - this is a horrendous decision that will significantly decrease confidence in mesoscale, short term and convective forecasting. The RRFS is terrible. Nobody that I have connected with in the community wants this to happen. Mind boggling.
