Bogut was considered one of the most highly sought after recruits in the world. & McGill was 1 of the top HS players as a SR, recruited by 250+ schools.

@GeoMarc2 @TheThrill16 I didn’t know his stats in high school but I had friends play against him in high school and they thought he could shoot around 40% from 3 from Utah. Time will tell, but I think there is a lot of potential, especially being the highest rated high school recruit in program history

@TheThrill16 @JMayeda11 I admire your optimism but! College average 3pt shooting is 35%. You want your "shooters" to be better than that. I think it's unrealistic to expect a 34% HS 3pt shooter who has been away from the game for 2 years to suddenly shoot 40%. I still think they need a shooting SF.

@GeoMarc2 @TheThrill16 I hope that SF can be Jaxon Johnson. There will be some mission rust, but 6’8 and elite 3 point shooting is just what we need. Hopefully he can be in shape and ready to go for the season

@TheThrill16 Still need a SF who can shoot, and a C who can protect the rim. IIRC the new roster limit is 15. Any additional signings will squeeze one of the walkons off the bench.

One of the biggest issues with last year’s team was lack of depth, especially with our bigs. I get that massive might not be the best way to describe it, but this is still a key pickup in the portal

Malek Gomma had a player efficiency rating of 16.7 this season. For reference, the D1 average is 15. It’s not a flashy pickup by any means, but Gomma will certainly provide stability down low for Jensen and co. In the Big 12. This is a massive get Ute fans!!!

@JMayeda11 @100ThingsUtah @_johnleone He's not even better than Dawes. Dawes averaged more points & more rebounds against opponents light years better than any Weber faced their entire season. Not denigrating the kid, but mediocre in the Big Sky doesn't often translate to star in the Big 12.

Charlotte’s Anton Bonke will be entering the transfer portal as a graduate student, he told @TheFieldOf68. The 7-2 big man averaged 10.6 ppg, 8.3 rpg and 1.5 blks for the 49ers. Played his frosh season at Eastern Arizona College and was at Providence in 24-25 before Charlotte.
