Grade 5’s hosted a sold out art show as part of our school wide celebration of the arts this evening! The visual arts, drama, dance, and choral were showcased. All proceeds from the art show will go to a donation of new socks for Siloam Mission. @beg_RETSD #citizenship #community

Grade 5s planted native wildflowers and plants alongside members of the River East Church and Guru Nanak Darbar Gurdwara on the Northeast Pioneers Greenway. They spotted wild onions, sage and daisies that they planted last year! @beg_RETSD

VG will continue to collect donations to support children and families of Peguis First Nation who have been evacuated due to flooding. We offer our gratitude for the donations we've received so far and we will be collecting donations until June 9th. @RETSDschools , @vg_RETSD

Our grade 5 students organized a Humanitarian Week @beg_RETSD and raised over $1000 for children who are living in war torn countries. Their empathy and generosity was incredible. It was truly kids helping kids! @SavetheChildren

Grade 5 students in our Activist club have organized a Humanitarian Week. They will be raising $ for children and families impacted by conflicts around the world. All week they will be selling handmade hats and bracelets. Their goal is to raise $250! @beg_RETSD @SavetheChildren

Grade 5’s wrote book reviews after reading Blended @sharonmdraper This book sparked so many discussions about racial discrimination and what actions we can take to be antiracist. Definitely a thought provoking and meaningful read! @beg_RETSD

Grade 4 & 5 students led a school wide campaign that resulted in the donation of over 200 pairs of new socks for @SiloamMission. Also included in each kit are foot care & hygiene products, packaged snacks and ‘kindness cards’. #Socktober #empoweredyouth
