Michael Bianculli from Walpole was strolling along Castle Island today and spotted these in the water Likely wake vortices from a landing aircraft flying low above of the water on approach to Logan. They come down off the tips of the planes wings

Compare the weather balloon from Dec 31st (4pm) to Jan 1st (4am) and you see how saturated the lower atmosphere became in the wake of the rain. This is why Las Vegas is waking up to low clouds and showers to kick off 2026!

Most jarring to me about the Edmund Fitzgerald was the evidence suggested its sinking happened in just *seconds*, rather than the prolonged event you may be familiar with from the Titanic. 50 years ago this evening. weather.com/news/weather/n…

In my 16+ years of religiously following every Atlantic hurricane out there, I would have to say that #Melissa is the craziest Atlantic hurricane I’ve ever tracked
