Houston coach Kelvin Sampson says recruiting nowadays is like a dating app. "You used to be able to date the same girl for five years and marry her."

@jaromjordan For those who say BYU’s investment in AJ wasn’t worth it…Brand placement. That’s the long term value for BYU in investing in AJ. Cool shot 🔥

@Austen Needs to be modified open cubicles. Everyone wants a space that is their own. So just working at totally open spaces with tables is awful. But open-ish cubicles can work well

@BYUSportsNation Less than Sweet 16 will be disappointing. But I wonder if the chances of AJ coming back have anything to do with how well they do. Would a great run to Elite 8 make him less likely to come back?

@RyanQualtrics Would love to come with my two sons. Or maybe our church youth group. That would be epic!

@clintcarlos @For3JT Amen and amen. Still a frustrating season at this point, but win a game or two in the tourney is still better than almost any previous team. Sweet Sixteen at this point, would be incredible. KY is doing an incredible job at this point! Love that he is here.

How many years have we cheered for the Cougs, just hoping to make it into the NCAA tournament? KY has lifted this program to new heights and the increased expectations that come with that are proof of his coaching and recruiting capabilities. Haters looking for any reason to hate, simply don't understand how far this program has come in 2 years.

This I disagree with. If the roster isn’t depleted due to injuries, this BYU is Top 10 in the country. And a lot of has to do with Kevin Young.
Madisox@Madisox43

@LevinsonCr66886 @For3JT In addition to thinking an NBA coach could succeed in college. It rarely happens. There’s a reason ADs don’t look to the NBA when there’s a coaching vacancy. Young is no Larry Brown

@ronthe3manweav @CriddleBenjamin He has always said he wasn’t necessarily leaving after one year. Everyone assumes he will, but it would be incredible if he come back now to play with Branch and a full team.

@chrisdevers What are your thoughts on this Chris? I don't think the answer of training youth for a workplace that is full of tech and remote work is going back to textbooks only and getting rid of computers. But schools need to find new ways of educating with tech. Would love your thoughts.

@rtmccombs I just can't get over how much space they are giving the other teams, especially on three point attempts. Davis is still the only one that ever is up in their face on defense.

Such a disappointing effort and lack of focus. We’ll find out a lot Saturday at West Virginia if this awful performance was a blip or a sign of how this season could end.

The Utah Jazz are going all-in on "big ball." Next season, when Kessler is back, the Jazz will feature a massive frontcourt that includes: 🏔 6'10" Jaren Jackson Jr. 🏔 6'11" Kyle Filipowski 🏔 7'1" Lauri Markkanen 🏔 7'2" Walker Kessler The Jazz already had size, but they're now adding 2x All-Star Jaren Jackson Jr, who's putting up 19.2 PPG and shooting 35% from deep. Typically teams who employ giants give up spacing for size. That won't be the case for the new-look Jazz. Markkanen is one of the league's premier scorers, and is 8th in the league with 27.4 PPG this year. He's also a career 37% 3-point shooter. Filipowski is a playmaker at 6'11". Kessler is the defensive-minded rim protector. Throw in young players like Keyonte George and Ace Bailey - who are only going to get better - and you have the markings of a legit core. The JJJ trade has expedited Utah's rebuild. And next season, if no one can stop their big ball lineups, they could be towering over opponents - both on the court and on the scoreboard.

@rtmccombs Am I crazy to think that our defense is very soft, except for Davis and at times Saunders. It seems like we always give opponents 3 feet of space instead of getting up in their faces. Especially beyond the 3 point line. I'd like to see more aggressive defense.

Gave some of my thoughts on BYU and where things are at. -BYU is beating good teams, but not great ones. -BYU has quietly been the best rebounding team in Big 12 play. -BYU needs more from the three-point line on both ends. vanquishthefoe.com/byu-basketball…

@RyBen3 @CriddleBenjamin Or one less pump fake. Seems like they were hesitant all night and shooting to draw fouls instead of trying to actually score.

@CriddleBenjamin One more pump fake and it would have been the right move. Had a potential pass to Keba too. AJ had his chance with the three on the side. Was a great plan when you only needed 2.

@ByuSome AJ is turning into Harden though. Just trying to draw fouls every time instead of just shooting a good shot.

AJ literally fouled twice with no call. If we sneeze on Arizona though, foul. I can't. So ridiculous.

After MUCH prayer & scripture study, I have decided to pause my football career & serve a mission for THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER DAY SAINTS. Thank you to all the teams that recruited me, offered me and have believed in me. I’m excited for this next chapter in my life.
