I will pass on a 5’9 guy who ran a limited route tree in college. Intriguing player, sure, but so many options at WR in this class… does not make sense to take a risk on a guy with those red flags in a deep class. #Steelers

@JN_Steve_ Route tree had a lot to do with the OC. You watch him play and you’ll see he is a natural born BALLER. Personally, he looks like a superstar if developed correctly. Definitely worth atleast looking into.

@The__VIPSection Branch was also a gadget player at USC, not something that was specific to his time at UGA. I would not touch him in RD2. RD3? Sure.

@JN_Steve_ Ehhh… limited route tree was really his fault. The Georgia offense is extremely gimmicky and not super pro friendly. Branch has elite traits like speed and YAC ability. No reason to believe he couldn’t develop the route running ability and become a Wandale type

As this continues to unfold, the Steelers are showing they really like Spencer Anderson.
The Steelers have had urgency to fill other needs all offseason, which says something to me.
He’ll almost certainly at least have a chance to win the starting LG job.

Trade: the New York Jets are finalizing a deal that will send QB Justin Fields to the Kansas City Chiefs, pending a physical, per ESPN sources. Other teams were interested, but Fields’ preference was to go to Kansas City.

My Early 2026 #Steelers Post-FA Mock Draft. Will probably do another closer to the draft, but love how this one turned out.
(Note: I moved our last 7th to jump up a few picks in RD5 for Tim Keenan, wanted to insure I got him as the IDL depth options were getting picked over at this point.)

Benton will definitely get more burn in sub packages as a pass rusher for the #Steelers, but I think there is a good chance Heyward/Harmon/Joseph-Day is their base look for run defense.

Among DTs with at least 200 snaps, Sebastian Joseph Day finished 6th in run stop rate in 2024 and 2025. Cam Heyward finished 3rd and 7th. Now the Steelers got em both.

Joseph-Day is better suited for the 0. Benton is much better at 3 T. I think they were just playing Benton where he was until Heyward hung it up and then they'd kick him outside. But now the rotation is going to be super solid on the line. ILB needs help right now. Queen and Wilson miss too many tackles and can't cover anything

Nothing about it is stupid.
- Seumalo has questionable injury history going into his age 33 season, not a good mix.
- hired James Campen who has a great track developing young lineman.
- the Steelers have already hit 4/5 drafting young lineman under Khan and Weidl.
- also hired Jahri Evans to the staff who is a HOF worthy OG.
It makes all the sense in the world to go younger at the position, OL development is one of the strongest things the Steelers have going for them right now.
