@JN_Steve_ There was still a ton of difference tho. At USC his targets behind the LOS was at 38% and he was growing in his MOF targets from freshman to sophomore year. When he transferred to UGA that percentage jumped to 54%. He definitely showed flashes at USC that UGA snubbed

@The__VIPSection Branch was also a gadget player at USC, not something that was specific to his time at UGA. I would not touch him in RD2. RD3? Sure.

I will pass on a 5’9 guy who ran a limited route tree in college. Intriguing player, sure, but so many options at WR in this class… does not make sense to take a risk on a guy with those red flags in a deep class. #Steelers

@SteelersNetwork Woods, Fano, McDonald, and Cooper would all be home run picks at 21. Any of those guys but I’m leaning towards Cooper. We need another receiver. He has inside outside versatility. And he compliments DK and MPJ. Could be the WR1 in a couple of years

Given that Freiermuth and Washington are the top TE’s on the roster, I wouldn’t mind the Steelers drafting Eli Stowers, Max Klare, or Michael Trigg in the later rounds as the third option. Imagine having Pat, Darnell, and one of these rookie TE’s on the roster. Tough!👀

Positionally speaking, this is just kind of what I'm envisioning for what a draft could look like in the first 7 picks, where you double dip at WR, get 2 DBs, address OG and DT depth, and then you have a wild card pick of sorts -- could be LB, QB, etc.

@PghJarron I feel like we should go BPA. There’s not a position I think should be off limits for drafting even edge.

Given their current roster, which positions should the Steelers prioritize drafting in the first three rounds ?

@Gaige_returns Genuinely so tired of the disrespect we’re being given. It’s not been perfect. There’s fine questions about the McCarthy hire but everything since from staff to the signings has been on point. I have no doubt the draft will be the same. Might be Omar’s strong suit

@thebetz93 This is a good team. We plugged most of our holes. Now we have 12 picks to add BPA throughout the draft and get talent. I truly think you’re just too low on the top end talent. This defense when healthy is top 10. This offense has questions but was top 15 with no WR2 last year

I need help, #SteelersNation… I need to know if I’m too down on this Steelers team. I don’t see a lot of roster holes, but I don’t see a lot of superstars anymore either. Average to above average players everywhere, but the superstars are past their primes, and I can’t tab any rising superstars. Am I too low on the upside of Frazier and Derrick Harmon and Nick Herbing and Joey Porter Jr? Am I too QB focused? Is there a chance that Aaron Rodgers with a better offensive staff, scheme, and pass catching corps enough to pull off a Sam Darnold-level of QB play while the rest of the roster dominates? And the biggest question of all: am I too low on the coaching staff because it isn’t the one I wanted, even though it’s an offensive-minded and Super Bowl-winning head coach, with a staff packed with his most trusted and favorite coaches to work with from across the league? I don’t think I’m too down… but am I? Help me!

Steelers defense DE- Cam Heyward NT- Keeanu Benton DT- Derrick Harmon OLB- TJ Watt ILB- Patrick Queen ILB- Payton Wilson OLB- Alex Highsmith CB- Joey Porter, Jr. CB- Jamel Dean SS- DeShon Elliott Then some combination of Jaquan Brisker and Jalen Ramsey in there somewhere.

@JN_Steve_ I feel like Hoffman could start for us pretty fine. We should spend a top 100 pick on a guard as well. I wouldn’t be mad at spending on a tackle too

I think it makes the most sense for the #Steelers to wait and address the hole at LG in the draft. New OL coach James Campen has a GREAT track record developing young lineman dating back to his days with the #Packers. Also consider the fact that the Steelers built their entire right side up (Frazier, McCormick, Fautanu) via the draft. OL development is probably one of the strongest things the Steelers have going for them right now and Andy Weidl also has an eye for it, makes sense to address other positions in FA. I would still be okay with some young depth like Hoffman, but the real addition should come via the draft. #NFL

@house068 @ByJoshCarney @DonChed54 We have to get safety no matter what. We have no depth regardless. Ramsey can play safety and was solid taking in the context of last year. I’d rather pay a young legit slot corner an just draft a safety like round 3.

@The__VIPSection @ByJoshCarney @DonChed54 But you still have no safety depth. I get why he is valuable and can help. But he is extra when you are already solid at that position. You need safeties. Ramsey can go to slot and another safety comes in.

Reunion with Patrick Graham in Pittsburgh? Can play slot or boundary. Would be at significant discount, too.

All I’m thinking about right now is Peter Woods and Caleb Banks to help anchor the middle of the Steelers defensive line and become an elite unit. The drama is unfolding as Pittsburgh hosts the 2026 NFL Draft.

@Alex_Kozora Think of who the CB1 is too and what his strengths are, press man being a strength for Dean is a good thing. Allows them to stay in that coverage often without a liability if both corners can press.

Jamel Dean definitely feels like a scheme fit for DC Patrick Graham. Big and physical and thrive in man to man. Graham runs a bit of everything but likes to blitz and man up on third down. Need CBs who can play on islands. #Steelers

My free agency scouting process is mainly focused on identifying ascending players that could be bargains on their next deal. It’s also helpful for me from a draft evaluation standpoint to see what skills allow the middle tier players to stick in the league and contribute.

The #Steelers need to take an upside risk at QB. Pay Willis or trade for Mac Jones, it is not the end of the world if they flop, stop choosing the safest option every offseason. #NFL
