I hope every up and coming artist (and established ones too tbh) sees that I don’t have the most monthly listeners in the world, my twitter and instagram aren’t just dumb popping engagement wise (in fact they’re kinda low) but I can sell out arenas because the music means something to people more than just a fun bop you don’t have to be part of the mainstream narrative/industry hype cycles, or constantly be in viral conversations, trending topics, or media discourse to have an impact on people in real life majority of the online shit is paid for and faked anyway so don’t get caught up in those metrics. make music for yourself and focus on your fans. rest of the shit will take care of itself.
