Every website you’ve ever used is broken in a way you never noticed and it’s been this way for 30 years... A Midjourney engineer finally just fixed it. It’s called Pretext: A tiny library that lets websites lay out text the way magazines and newspapers do, with text flowing around images, wrapping into columns, and fitting perfectly into any shape, all at 120fps. This has been basically impossible on the web for 30 years. Every website you’ve ever used relies on the same clunky system from the 90s to figure out where text goes on screen. Pretext bypasses it entirely. 500x faster. The demos look like they shouldn’t be possible in a browser. Go look.

My dear front-end developers (and anyone who’s interested in the future of interfaces): I have crawled through depths of hell to bring you, for the foreseeable years, one of the more important foundational pieces of UI engineering (if not in implementation then certainly at least in concept): Fast, accurate and comprehensive userland text measurement algorithm in pure TypeScript, usable for laying out entire web pages without CSS, bypassing DOM measurements and reflow

Seeing David Ibiyeomie roll into University of Port Harcourt in a Tesla Cybertruck for a crusade is one of those moments that really makes you pause. Because beyond the spectacle, there’s a bigger question staring everyone in the face: what exactly is going on here? In a country where millions are battling daily just to eat, where basic healthcare and education are still luxuries for many, it’s hard not to question how spiritual leaders are able to afford some of the most expensive cars in the world. Is this truly a reflection of “God’s blessings,” or is there a deeper conversation we keep avoiding about accountability, transparency, and priorities within religious institutions? Nobody is saying pastors shouldn’t live well but when the contrast between the pulpit and the pew becomes this wide, it starts to feel uncomfortable. The same people sowing seeds and giving offerings are often the ones struggling the most. At some point, we have to ask honestly: Are these displays inspiring faith… or quietly eroding it?

Never gonna get tired of sharing this. If you're still wondering why the King of England shut down the palace for his little Prince of Nigeria, watch this video. It's pretty simple - any Nigerian so called 'leader' who gives England the most access to your educational system, your resources, your justice system, etc. Automatically gets the most accolades from England, and is celebrated above all others. Now, go ahead and connect the dots, given your current situation in Nigeria.

When Iran Showed Solidarity With Africans The United States and Israel are presently engaged, as the aggressors, in a war of aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran, a war with serious implications for the global economy, and whose imperialist objectives are proving harder to achieve than Washington anticipated. Iran continues to stand firm, politically and militarily, in the wake of the assassination of its Supreme Leader Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei and several of its top leadership by US-Israeli airstrikes, and the usual Western suspects seem more desperate than ever to cling to control over the narrative on West Asia. But perhaps the strangest thing about this conflict is the sheer number of Africans who seem to be squarely on the side of its obvious aggressors. Social media has been rife with posts by African-owned accounts praising the US and Israel’s war crimes, and condemning Iran for daring to defend its sovereignty – or even exist at all. This phenomenon makes no sense in the light of history, but is a testament to the success of a decades-long Western propaganda campaign targeted specifically at the African continent, and fueled by centuries of colonialism. A propaganda campaign which has rendered a good percentage of Africa’s population historically and geopolitically illiterate. In this report, we explore why Africans have no business supporting the US and Israel in this war, and every reason to stand with Iran.

@the_critic @ARISEtv You don’t get my point! The phrase ‘Igbo presidency’ tend to insinuate a president for Igbo in some sense. And that is absurd, because we can only have the ‘Nigerian presidency.’ I’m with you if you mean a Nigerian president of Igbo extraction. It’s long overdue.

@JOvwemuvwose @ARISEtv How is he a fool? Igbo presidency is a thing and it is long over due. A Charles soludo will be a perfect one, once the time is set and he’s already trying to play his cards, he’s not waiting for it to be handed to him. A brilliant economist and a smart politician.

I just saw this lovely VIDEO of a Nigerian man who lives in Europe. He returned to Nigeria and began shuttling public buses to preach against religion and sensitize Nigerians to VOTE RIGHT in 2027! I deeply LOVE THIS! Can Nigerians living in working countries return to sensitize Nigerians back home this way? Pls, make this VIDEO go viral!✍️

I'm not religious by any means but if I were God, it would be evident that based on the geographical arrangement of the world, I have my favourites. Africa is that favourite. There is literally no material or human resource under the sun that cannot be found here in absurd quantities. We have EVERYTHING that humanity has ever fought wars over, in such quantities that I can understand why Leopold described Africa as a 'geological scandal.' We are so absurdly stacked that even despite having the largest empire in history standing on our necks and extra ting ruthlessly for 500 years, we have still managed to be the world's 2nd most populous continent and by far the world's fastest growing population. No matter how breathlessly they extract, there are so many resources that 1.5 billion people still manage to exist without really doing so on purpose or having a plan for the future. We are still the sovereign owners of this land, but at the rate we are fucking around, not for much longer. Nature has a habit of taking away gifts that are not utilised. If despite having all that we have, plus cheap instant communication and Ethiopian Airlines that reliably puts 90% of us within 6 hours of each other, we STILL manage to come out of the 21st century losing, then we will have fully earned the loss of our homeland and our disappearance from the earth, the same way the Mayans and Aztecs disappeared. When Ibrahim Traoré says "Homeland or Death," it's not a patriotic slogan. It's a statement of ugly fact.

I jaw saw this VIDEO of Arthur Eze campaigning for Tinubu in a church saying why Igbos should vote for Tinubu is that he made Wike and Umahi, two Igbos, his Ministers and married a Christian. I think we have rated this “old thing” very highly that he assumes himself a god!✍️

@sowore @ProfZulum Sowore, these questions are answered by the structure of institutions that we have in the country. These politicians are heavily protected by every fragment of available military resources, and they live, tucked away from the everyday realities of ordinary Nigerians.

Imagine the kind of nonsense this brainless PhD holder, @ProfZulum, is spewing Why is it that it is never the destiny of state governors to be slaughtered by terrorists and bandits? Why is it always the ordinary people, farmers, travelers, students, and villagers who are butchered daily, while those who claim to lead and protect the nation remain untouched? Why does death only visit the defenseless and never those who sit in Government House? Foolish People!
