Our Lady of Lourdes, this beautiful nearly 125-year-old Catholic church in Chicago, could be demolished following the archdiocese’s decision to close it down, pointing to a decline in church attendance, as reported by CBS News. Parishioners have been campaigning to stop the church’s closure. Declining attendance should not be a reason to close our precious churches where our Lord’s Mass was celebrated daily.
